We have made a family tradition of staying in Carlsbad over the Labor Day Weekend and this was the first time we stayed at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the location to the Robert Frazee Beach is amazing. Just a short walk across the street and you are at the beach. The staff is the best asset this hotel has. They were extremely friendly and accomodating. My two sons and their wives stayed in the hotel as well and enjoyed their stay as much as we did. The suites are amazing. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. I do a fair amount of traveling and this hotel definately hit all of the high spots.

Had a great first-time visit to S. California. Close to all beach locations. Our room had a view of the beach.. WONDERFUL staff. (Kathy comes to mind in breakfast room/lounge). Fast walk to beach. Family can split to be at beach or at hotel. Roomy with kitchenette. Not 5 star in terms of those who are used to certain accomodations. But we're an experienced traveling family and LOVED this location. Parking is rather tight, but a wonderful place to stay and we'd go back again!!!! Roomy, excellent breakfast- just all around wonderful.

This is such a great little hotel. It's an older property that's been renovated, so it's got a classic California beach motel- sort of feel to me. The location is perfect, just across from the beach, so one can sit at the upstairs patio and look out over the ocean for breakfast and a pre-dinner beverage. We've stayed here twice with our young kids, and the courtyard is comfortable and safe-feeling-- the kids can congregate with other kids, walk over to the breafast room, and parents can relax. The proximity to Legoland is very convenient, there are very good dining options within walking distance, and there is a feel at the hotel that families come again and again. It's a memory-building sort of summer vacation spot. The jacuzzi is small, but hot and well-maintained. The service is friendly and courteous.

We stayed here on Labor Day Weekend, and had a wonderful time. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I loved the inner courtyard, lit up nicely at night, and it felt more private than other hotels around the area. Great location, and good breakfast in the morning. The thing that stood out the most, was the amazing staff. Always smiling and very courteous, they were kind and helpful. I had booked only 1 night, and wished to stay another night on a very busy weekend, they were able to find a room for us and gave us a great rate. I will definitely stay here again.
