I booked Pelican Cove B & B based on reviews and pricing. Pelican Cove Inn is rated #1 in Carlsbad for places to stay on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. Nancy is very warm, friendly, and a wonderful cook! Pelican Cove is charming and cozy. The rooms have gas fireplaces that actually heat :) The feather beds are very comfortable. Breakfasts are delicious and included in the price. The location is awesome, tucked away from everything, but it's an easy walk to downtown and to the beach. I highly recommend staying here! Homey, cozy, romantic, and relaxing. Just what we needed!

Pelican Cove Inn is everything the website promises and more! We stayed in the Carlsbad Room and it was wonderful. It IS a short walk to the beach, as well as shopping downtown. The breakfast is wonderful, and the beach chairs, etc. that you can borrow is a great touch. It feels like you are staying with friends. Nancy is a marvelous host and made us feel right at home as soon as we got there. We will definitely be back and highly recommend anyone going to the area to stay with Nancy!!

My husband and I discovered the Pelican Cove Inn many years ago and when we need a close by get away, we head west! The rooms are beautiful, right down the street (walking distance) from the ocean, excellent food, hospitality and more. We would recommend this bed and breakfast for all those that await a quiet, restful oasis! Thanks Nancy, she is truly a gem!

We have stayed here many times since (luckily) finding it back in 2000.
The rooms are comfortable, the beach is a short walk away, and breakfast is always incredible. The garden in the back of the property is very pleasant. There are beach chairs, boogie boards, beach toys, and beach towels available. The best feature of Pelican Cove, however, is the genuine friendliness of the owner, Nancy.
