We've stayed here several times. The hotel is clean, staff are very pleasant and it's close enough to easily get to the beach or Legoland. It's easy to get to and on a road which is not too heavily traveled so it's never been noisy. I stay in a lot of hotels for business and always appreciate the comfort for the price of the Hampton Inns. This is a newer one. The only downside for me is the quality of the free breakfast - lots of processed food that's pretty high in calories. But we just went out both days since I knew that about them.

I stay here regularly because I frequently visit family in this area, and the staff at this hotel is consistently welcoming and friendly. The hotel is very clean, and the breakfast is good.
This is a great choice is you travel to Carlsbad.

Best staff ever. Very helpful and personable with out being overbearing or fake, truly genuine. No matter what we needed, we never felt like we were bothering them at all, we always felt like they wanted to help us. We stayed for 5 days and loved every day! Arthur the night desk man was always so helpful and accommodating, and had the best mix of eighty's music playing. Our maids were extremely efficient and friendly. Everything was clean with lots of storage room. We stayed on the top floor and never heard anyone or any planes. The pool was just the right size for our children to play without us having to worry, and making it possible to relax in the great hot tub. Location was perfect for all of our activities. The beds were so comfortable, with lots of pillows. We had trouble with our remote, and the maintenance man was there in a manner of minutes and quickly fixed it, even he was so kind and friendly. He saw me trying to get in my room once with my arms full and stopped to offer to open the door for me. Our favorite part was the breakfast, every morning hot and fresh and well stocked and delicious! It changed every day we were there. It was fabulous! We still say we miss Evardo the amazing man who prepares, maintains and clean-up breakfast single handedly every day. We have never been this satisfied with a hotel before. We have spent hundreds more and not gotten close to the level of service and experience that we had here. Book it, you will not be disappointed.

Stayed here for 3 nights in Sep 2011 with my partner. I am pretty sure the hotel must be fairly new....or it seemed like it was anyway. Beautifully clean with modern decor. The hotel has a medium sized outdoor pool with a good sized outdoor spa. Breakfast was complimentary and was outstanding - with different options each day. Free parking, free wifi and a coin operated laundry room which opened until midnight I think?? The staff were so polite and helpful. About a 5 minute drive up the main street you will come to a whole bunch of restaurants - I think the place was called Restaurant Row?? You will need a car here as San Diego is very spread out. The Carlsbad Outlet Stores were good and are not far from the hotel at all. This was my first stay at a Hampton Inn and I was very impressed! I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.
