We stayed at the West Inn while visiting Legoland last spring break. We required two hotel rooms, and were able to get them adjoining without any problem. The rooms were very well appointed with comfortable beds. I wish there had been an actual closet, but that would be my only complaint. The small fridge and sink allowed us to keep snacks in the room, which makes a big difference when traveling with young children. Our kids absolutely loved the chocolate chip cookies every evening and still tell us it is their favorite hotel ever! The pool was kept very warm, which we found to be a real perk during our springtime trip. Although not overly large, the kids had a blast playing in the water.
The hotel property was very well maintained and has a plantation vibe in the decor. The breakfast each morning had plenty of choices, but we did find seating to be a problem most days as many families seemed to be on the same schedule.
Because of the size of our group, we didn't utilize the free shuttle to Legoland, but thought it was great to have that offered. The location of the hotel is right off the freeway, but we didn't notice it being noisy. There were several family-friendly restaurants within a one-mile radius of the property and we found it to be very convenient for all of our vacation activities. We would definitely recommend to others and would stay again ourselves.
