Everyone will not love this oceanview-there is a road & a railroad track between you & the ocean. The trains (at least in the off-season) are infrequent-I actually enjoyed waving at the commuters & travelers on the passenger trains. They never pass after like 10 or so. BUT...if you get a king room with a sitting room and a full oceanview, you get a spectacular patio as a bonus. If you go to park your suitcase & run around all day, this particular room may be overkill. They do have other rooms without the view & some with partial views. The furniture is not particularly fancy or modern, but the seating area is comfy-cozy and the bed was excellent. I very much enjoyed my stay, but I went to take it easy, relax, walk a little & EAT!!!! I sat out on my patio & read the paper, ate, had coffee, mostly zoned-out. The bridge across the road & rr tracks to the shore is not too far away. The beach acrsoss the way is a day use state park, patrolled pretty well so after 10 it gets quiet. Before 10 there are frequently fires in the firepit. I enjoyed the aromas, without standing round the fire shivering and inhaling smoke. There is a sushi bar, a great itialian place & a hopping bar next door and a GREAT Mexican restaurant within walking distance so you can park your car in the underground parking area & walk most any place you want to go. It is also a short drive down to the harbor for other great eateries & shops to visit, which I did a little of also. This Inn makes a wonderful homebase for a visit with the few extra added bonuses I mentioned above. The staff is very helpful & accomodating & just plain friendly. Langley, called me on my last day to ASK ME if I would like late checkout? How often does that happen anywhere? This is definitely a great oceanview propert with great staff.. I SHALL RETURN!!
