“Overall very nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

I stayed there for a week and a half with my wife and dairy-allergic 3-year-old (hence, the need for a kitchen). A very classy place, good style, comfy bed and very soft sheets. The shower was a pleasure - good water pressure and temperature consistency, drainage and cleanliness. The air conditioner worked well. Awesome space for working, with great overhead lighting.

A few negatives: it's a bit cramped with a pea-pod bed for my daughter. The kitchen only had two sets of dishes, bowls, cups, silverware, etc, even though we said we'd be three, had very dull knives, and was missing some important things (cutting board, oil, a lid for one of the pots, etc). The bed felt a little small - not quite a queen? And the free internet was incredibly slow at times (advertised 800kbps, 500 in reality, with packet loss). But overall, still recommended.

Room Tip: Room 115 is the quickest room to get to, and was fairly quiet.

“Landing softly, resting comfortably. A home away from home.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2011

This place has that cozy feeling of being home. The employees here are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are always very clean. Kitchen area (w/full-sized fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, & available dishes) makes it absolutely wonderful for a stay when you've got your own food to prepare. Their complimentary breakfast always helps to get the day going while traveling for work and staying here. The gym is small but the available free-weights(dumbbells) are always cool. Location has a hot tub but no pool (which could REALLY put the cherry on top for this place to give it more of a mini-resort feel). Overall, I love this place! Larkspur Landings have always been at the top of my list.

“Ultra-Comfy Bed, Amazing Breakfast, AWESOME Stay!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 July 2011

My girlfriend and I did a "besties getaway" to Santa Cruz, but know how awesome Larkspur Landings are (my company always books our guests at the Roseville, CA LL and I've always wanted to stay there!) The room was beautiful, inviting and so "homey" -- absolutely delightful -- the bed was soooo comfortable and snuggly (down pillows, comforter and probably even mattress topper). The breakfast had so many tempting items offered and was such an enjoyable start to our day! We took advantage of their special package deal and went to the Winchester Mystery House for about $5 each (normally $30 each.) I wish there were a Larkspur Landing in every town I travel to. Their motto is so true: "Home Suite Hotel" -- but better yet, "Home Sweet Hotel"!! We LOVED our cozy bed-and-breakfast style room!! (Only drawback: No pool and small, yet perfect temp, spa.)

“I LOVED this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 June 2011

We had just stayed in the only hotel in a little town by Sacramento with holes in the curtains and curling linoleum and wires hanging out the bathroom window and a bathroom door that wouldn't shut with highway noise all night long. I thought we had died and gone to heaven when we checked into this hotel. Friendly staff, CLEAN rooms, real tile on the floors, nice towels, little kitchenette, QUIET, grabbed a few breakfast items for the road. I would stay here again in a hot second!

Room Tip: Make a reservation in advance.

“My favorite hotel in the area”

Just a couple minor nit-picks make it fall short of perfect. Breakfast was somewhat light - boiled eggs, toast, oatmeal, coffee & juices. Free internet is rate-limited at 512kbps (so a little slow with things like Google maps), and would automatically log you out after some inactivity, requiring multiple logins a night. Other amenities more than make up for it - a kitchen with full-sized fridge, DVD player, iPod dock. The bed was firm enough; they put a soft layer of down or something on the mattress which is really comfy but gets kind of warm in the summer. The rooms are very clean, and the price was reasonable for a nice suite. Fresh cookies in the lobby was a nice touch! My room was very quiet (possibly because it was in the back). There are a few restaurants within walking distance, and a lot of very good restaurants within a 5 mile drive. Unlike most hotels, the vending machine prices were reasonable.
