We loved being able to walk out the front door and have the charming town of Cambria right there - and we could walk as little or as much as we wanted to and felt very comfortable walking even after dark.
Terry is a most pleasant hostess.
We had a large suite w/a fireplace and a view of the park. It was obvious that our room had room add-ons. And . .while it was clean, it was in need repair (peeling and/or torn wall paper, areas in need of touch-up paint, etc.) The bathroom is very dated, and the toilet worked poorly - and there was something (I honestly don't remember) about the shower that frustrated my husband (besides the soap dispenser being on the wall by the shower head - so . ..you had to get wetter than maybe desired to get the soap - back or side wall would have been best for the dispenser.) Also, if you are a tub user - no bar soap - you must take the liquid soap bottle to the tub and balance it on the tub edge. It was nice to have extra towels and they were very soft; a couple of our towels appeared to not be clean - so we didn't use them. Room rating below is on our room - we didn't see any other room.
Peanuts were put out each night during the wine hour - but .. then taken in. It would have been nice to have those out during the day, also.
When we booked our reservations, we asked specifically about their breakfast - if there was a protein each AM. We were told there was - not meat, but . .there would be a protein. There was egg one AM and no protein the other mornings we were there. There were very good and unique specialty breads along w/oatmeal or other cereal -
The breakfast room is lovely - bright, sunny and cheery - and the food very attractively presented.
As stated previously, Terry is very pleasant and a fun person. We enjoyed visiting w/her at breakfast, and would have appreciated the opportunity to just visit with ourselves if desired - but . . that wasn't an option. One AM my wife and I were enjoying our time together and Terry came over with her coffee/tea pulled out a chair and joined us. While we know that for some guests, visiting with the innkeeper is part of the experience - it would be nice to check with the people before sitting down at their table.
