Had a wonderful week-end here. Our room was clean, spacious and very unique. Nice to have a flat screen TV too. The service was attentive, but gave us "space" as well. Excellant breakfast, and we especially loved wine time. The town of Cambria is really amazing with pine trees on one side and ocean on the other. The shops were spendy, but of good value too. I plan on making this my annual January trip from now on.

What a delightful place! We were greeted by the owners daughter who was so friendly and gracious, we certainly felt welcomed after our long drive. The house is on the less touristy side of Cambria. It is off the beaten path but very easy to find.

The room was elegant but not too fancy. There were fresh flowers waiting for us and thick comfy robes in the armoire. The bed was humongous!!! It's made from 2 double-sized bed and could sleep five in a pinch. Everything worked well in the room and in the bathroom, which is not always the case.

The Pickford House has a wonderful breakfast, yes it is the same every morning but it is delicious and they staff has enough to do without having to invent breakfast every morning! Just be glad it's not oatmeal.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. One note however is that if you are elderly, there is no elevator and the bathtub could be very hard to get into.

The Pickford House in Cambria is a wonderful B&B. The service was warm, genuine and excellent. The room spectacular, and the breakfast awesome! The local wine & cheese offered at 5pm was delicious. A great place. Check out their website for specials. I can't wait to go back.

Patrica (owner) is a sweetheart. However, at $200+ a night there are cheaper B&Bs in Cambria that aren't right on top of of Highway 1(half of the rooms face and are right on top of HW1 and it is loud). Furthermore, the B&B is pretty far removed from town (you are approx. a 5 min. drive from DT Cambria and the B&B is located on the far edge of your typical residential neighborhood, Not so much in terms of ambience.). Five minutes doesn't seem like much but it is if you consider it takes 5 minutes to drive through all of Cambria. Long story short, either stay at a B&B on the beach for the same money or in DT Cambria for less. If that doesn't work, drive 10 minutes south (on HWY 1) and stay in Cayucos.
