“Great, Quaint, Comfortable, Relaxing, Charming Hostel!!!”

This hostel feels like a bed & breakfast in a place like Ireland. It's really charming and quaint and also looks like a Cape Cod or some New England cottage. Had a wonderful 2-night stay there! It's also within close/walking distance to the main street in Cambria. To top it off, the staff is very accommodating and friendly! Thanks for the wonderful stay, Bridge Street Inn!

“Cute and quaint hostel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2011

Three of us stayed here in a 3 person room. The decor was old worldy and cosy, felt like you were staying at your grandma's house. The lounge area as cosy, with lots of other guests to chat to and the manager was very helpful and friendly. Cambria itself was beautiful, with some lovely shops and cafes.

“loveliest stay during my california roadtrip!”

i loved this place so much that i just had to write a review!

i only got there late, after sunset, as i had driven up from santa monica. i was struck by how gorgeous and quaint the hostel looked in the evening glow- it was a fairytale cottage set in such a beautiful street !

the manager showed us around, and it really did look like a cute farmhouse inside. very eco-friendly and full of interesting stuff, not a typical hotel. i had the double bed at the first floor. twas small, but clean and suited us just fine! very cosy. the window overlooked the pretty garden outside.

twas abit weird when i woke up and went out of the room to brush my teeth to face a whole table full of hostelites eating breakfast, but haha, i didnt mind. if you want privacy, you shld take the 2nd floor room i guess. they served lovely organic stuff for brekkie! some yummy homemade breads and such.

the shared toilets were nice and clean, no problems with the amenities.

i went to explore the house, gardens and street the next day. all the houses looked so pretty and quaint, gave me such a warm fuzzy feeling for some reason! pls do try out this hostel for yourself, it's totally worth it for such a low price! i think i paid 55 USD for the double room (:

“Very Cute, Quaint Hostel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2010

Arrived after lunch and walked around Camria, such a lovely little town set back in time.
The Hostel opened at 5pm, we were greeted by a very friendly lady that showed us round and too our room. We opted for a private double room with its own toilet & sink - shared shower facilities.
It was decorated lovely and very clean.
Being a hostel I was weary but it was very good value and did its job of a one night stay before we moved onto Carmel.
Two small negatives:
The bed wasnt that comfy but okay. The towels were about 20 years old and musty so we didnt really want to wash and waited for our next stop.
If your backpacking you will have your own towels anyway. Its very pretty and set in a lovely street.

“Very quaint!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2010

A really lovely house full of character and charm. Great location near to lots of tempting restaurants in a really pretty town. Shabby and not clean enough for my standards but it's so beautiful you don't care! Good value for money.
