“Very Nice Inn..”

Stayed for 1 night while traveling up the CA coast. Originally had a king with no view but upon arrival asked for King with patio/ocean view. I'm so glad we did, it was lovely, watching a beautiful sunset over Moonstone Beach. I would suggest getting a room with a patio, I believe there are only 4 of 5 of them.
Beds were very comfy, and room was clean and spacious and had a nice fireplace.
Bathrooms could use a little updating but were fine.
Cont breakfast was included, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, danish.
Staff were very accomodating and friendly. I would definetly stay here again.

“Our new weekend getaway spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 April 2005

Cypress Cove Inn was lovely (right across the beach) on Moonstone Beach Drive. The room was lovely, the bed was comfortable. The fireplace was a nice touch. Just step outside the Inn and there it is, "the ocean" (you just have to cross the street to get to the beach area). We had a dinner package as well. What a deal! Brambles was the restaurant, delicious food. We thought there was going to be limited items to choose, but we were wrong, it was a list full (only paid for drinks).

If you want a nice little R&R weekend getaway...Cambria is the spot. We fell in love with the area. Already trying to arrange to go back this fall.

“Nice stay”

We just returned from a long weekend, 3 day 2 night, in Cambria celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary. We stayed at a downstairs oceanfront room with a fireplace and patio. The patio was probably the best part. Unbelievably relaxing and had wonderful weather. The room was nicely decorated but the bathroom could use some updating. The towels were not the softest, the hair dryer did not work well, and the whirlpool tub is just that....a bathtub that also has jets in it but had cracks and looked old (not appealing for an actual bath). We did hear a lot of noise from our upstairs neighbor, which included their plumbing every time they used the bathroom. As others said, breakfast wasn't that special but it was ok.

All in all, comparing price to some others, I would probably stay here in the future, again because we thoroughly enjoyed our view from our patio. But the place would definitely get a 5 if the bathrooms were renovated.

“Nice Little Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2004

Before I went to Cambria, I did some research and decided to stay at the Cypress Cove Inn. We stayed at one of the 4 ocean view rooms downstairs. It has a nice double doors looking out to a small patio and out to the ocean across the road. The room is very nice and the bed is comfortable. There is a gas fireplace in the room which doubles as a heater. There is also a ceiling fan which we didn't use.

The room is about as close to the ocean as any hotel/inn could get on the Moonstone drive. There is a small road in between the room and the ocean, but well place planters in the patio cover most of it up. The upstair 4 ocean view rooms may have better view, but they lack the patio.

The bath tub is a jet tub but it only fit one person. Breakfast is nice but nothing fancy which is not a big deal for us. We bring them to our room and eat there anyway. No wine and cheese in the evening, but we dont' get back to our room until late at night anyway.

We had walked down the whole Moonstone drive, and our room still seem to have the best location and view on the road. We only spent about half the room rate comparing to the more expansive hotels like Blue Whale Inn or Pelican Suites.

Next time we might try one of the upstair room so we don't have to close the curtain at night.

Nice B&B, helpfull staff. The rooms where ok, clean but small. Had som problems when checking inn. I had booked the room via the hotel web-page, but when we arrived the claimed that we allready had stayed there one night and left 3 days ago. Funny, never happend before. But we got the room in the end. Breakfast was ok, nothing more. The location was great, next time I stay at another B&B at the moonstone beach.
