“charming accomodations overlooking the beach”

FogCatcher Inn is a lovely property just across the street from the beach on Moonstone Drive....just a short drive from the villages of Cambria. The rooms all have fireplaces and some have an ocean view. The rooms are well maintained and are equipped with frig, microwave and coffeemaker. Breakfast includes a wonderful selection of hot items...eggs, sausage, potatoes and even freshly made waffles! We stayed here many years ago when the Inn was brand new and it was a pleasure to visit once again. And for dinner...don't miss going to Robin's. It has been a superb restaurant for years in the East Village of Cambria.

What a great hidden gem-can't think of a bad thing to say . Great breakfast included, superb location across from the ocean, a hot tub, friendly staff, nice room with high ceiling. One complaint- had to leave too soon!!!!!

“Wow, this hotel was perfect!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Four of us made the drive down Hwy One from San Francisco and stayed in this wonderful hotel. Our room was perfect, the staff very helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. This was our third hotel on this trip and by far and away the best. We can all hardly await to return!

Room Tip: We had rooms 202 and 203. They were very quiet as our rooms tucked away from driveways but next to t...

What a treat to come up and stay at the FogCatcher Inn. My wife and I took a road trip north and had heard about the FogCatcher and read the reviews...they were right! This place is great, super friendly staff (helped with dinner reservations, great suggestions for dinner at Madeline's) We took advantage of the free breakfast, very good quality, we loved the local pasteries from Allocco's. Heated pool and spa were nice too. We are planning a family reunion for the summer and we picked the FogCatcher Inn!

Room Tip: We enjoyed the upstairs room with fireplace and great views!

“Perfect and fabulous value too”

As some of the other reviews have said, this really is a hidden gem We stayed there after two days in San Francisco on our way to Death Valley, LA, San Diego and Palm Springs. It was one of our favourite stays, and best value, shame it was just for one night. We arrived with our two kids (5 and 8) after a long, but beautiful drive down the Pacific coast to a lovely warm fire in the comfy, spacious and clean room. The next morning we strolled on the quaint beach after a good breakfast at the Inn. Lots of restaurants close by. Nice little pool, though it was too chilly even for us Scots to try. Couldn't fault it - well done FogCatcher, I hope we'll be back!

Room Tip: There was more than enough room for the four of us in two generously sized king beds. We booked thr...
