This is a great place to stay when visiting Calistoga. Though it isn't a spa, the quality and location allow one quick and easy access to local day spas. A bit on the pricey side, but welcome to Napa where everything's overpriced. Minor complaints - if you're a TV person, you'll be disappointed. But if you're in wine country to watch TV, maybe you should rethink your priorities. Mattresses tend to be soft. Great for some people, but just keep it in mind if you have a bad back - I always wake up stiff and sore. But what they heck... spas are all around! Breakfast could be better on the pastsry front - there are some decent bakeries in town that I would recommend the Inn look into for better pastries. But the knock on the door and the waiting basket are a lovely touch.
If you're looking for things to do in Napa, just talk to the lovely woman at the front desk. She's a living encyclopedia of the area and she will supply you with more than enough suggestions of places to eat and things to see.
We had an awesome bed and delicious breakfast brought in a basket to our room to complete a perfect stay in Napa Valley! We went to the ball at Castello di Amorosa and this was the perfect spot to stay, great service and friendly people. You won't be disapointed!
Planning a last minute trip to Napa, CA during the busy harvesting season proved to be extremely difficult. Falling upon the Christopher's Inn in the quaint town of Calistoga (about 10 minutes outside of St. Helena and Napa) could not have a bigger blessing. The room was extremely comfortable, and was a short walk from main street. This bed and breakfast is run by a lovely couple, Adel and Christopher, who bring every guest breakfast baskets in the morning. Additionally, there is complimentary espresso and wine in the lobby, which has a comfortable feel. In the midst of everything, we happened to notice we locked our keys in the car when we had checked out and were on our way to a mud bath appointment at a local Spa. Adel, took it upon herself to not only drive us to the spa, but additionally picked us up from our appointment so we did not have to walk in the rain. OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!! The Christopher Inn goes above and beyond in their care for their patrons. Even waiting for the locksmith to arrive, we had the opportunity to get to know Adel and Christopher even better, and cannot wait to return. They are beyond willing to share their knowledge of the town, and advice on the best local spots to dine. It would be a shame for someone to miss out on such an unique experience that the Christopher's Inn has to offer.
This B&B is nice. The location is great on Rt. 29 in Calistoga within walking distance of downtown and drives to the wineries. The rooms were nicely decorated. Breakfast consists of juice, coffee, a pastry, and some fruit delivered to your room in a basket. I kind of expected more for the 200 plus dollars a night. It would not rank high on a scale compared to other B&Bs I have been to. I guess the location trumps the value. Note, you must pay in advance for your entire stay which can be risky. The other B&B we were planning to use is 2 blocks away and they did go out of business. It is nice but I would not go running back. I would try something in St.Helena next time.
