We had a lovely time. Being parents of two young ones, we rarely have time for ourselves, let alone time to reconnect. And reconnect is what we did during our brief stay at the Chanric. We actually had a chance to talk UNINTERRUPTED (you parents know what I mean!). It's such a welcomed surprise not to find yet another "distraction" i.e. TV, in the room. The room is tastefully appointed; the house itself is well maintained with a very modern minimalist vibe; and I especially like Ric's open all-white kitchen with the marble counter top. We started our stay with a couple's massage at the property by two highly skilled masseuses (Barbara and Sue) whom put us in a state of bliss within minutes. I'm not one for B&Bs, and this is my first, having come highly recommend by others (and I have to say, it is all true and more!). From Ric's personal welcome phone call the day of, to the tray of morning tea/coffee outside our door, to brunch, his attention to detail is impeccable. Who would know to put your tea pot with the handle angled so you can easily grab it without having to adjust/turn it before hand? Ric did! I cannot recommend this little "piece of heaven on earth" enough, and plan to make this a regular retreat for us.
