“A Place to Reconnect”

We had a lovely time. Being parents of two young ones, we rarely have time for ourselves, let alone time to reconnect. And reconnect is what we did during our brief stay at the Chanric. We actually had a chance to talk UNINTERRUPTED (you parents know what I mean!). It's such a welcomed surprise not to find yet another "distraction" i.e. TV, in the room. The room is tastefully appointed; the house itself is well maintained with a very modern minimalist vibe; and I especially like Ric's open all-white kitchen with the marble counter top. We started our stay with a couple's massage at the property by two highly skilled masseuses (Barbara and Sue) whom put us in a state of bliss within minutes. I'm not one for B&Bs, and this is my first, having come highly recommend by others (and I have to say, it is all true and more!). From Ric's personal welcome phone call the day of, to the tray of morning tea/coffee outside our door, to brunch, his attention to detail is impeccable. Who would know to put your tea pot with the handle angled so you can easily grab it without having to adjust/turn it before hand? Ric did! I cannot recommend this little "piece of heaven on earth" enough, and plan to make this a regular retreat for us.

Room Tip: Not sure about the other rooms, but we stayed in room #2 which is a king bed with a shower on the se...

“Very enjoyable stay”

Just came back from a few days in Napa and wanted to give a shout out for the Chanric Inn. We had a very nice room, including a very comfortable bed and big, modern washroom. Breakfasts were amazing and both owners, Ric and Channing, are super hospitable and welcoming. Will definetely stay there again next time I visit Napa Valley.

“Finally, a chic b & b!”

I love the idea of a bed and breakfast, but I'm usually turned off by the decor of these places. If I'm going to pay a ton to stay somewhere (let's face it, that's anywhere in this area), I would prefer I cool modern space.

The Chanric Inn is the best of both worlds! Sleek (small) rooms, gorgeous main part of the house and grounds, really delicious fresh breakfast. Totally ideal.

I spent a weekend here a while back and still hope to return. My husband really liked it too and we've recommended it to friends several times.

“Book early, book often - enjoy!”

You must stay at least 3 nights to get a decent exposure to the brunch menu and to get the boy's back story - we extended our stay the experience was so good. Plan on 3 months diligent diet and exercise following the visit.
no pre planning required, as you can take Ric's recommendations on food and wineries, but don't miss eating at JoLe or trying Lava Vine and Failla (yes, Napa can do Pinot!)
Make sure you ask Dinnigan to demonstrate down dog.
We'll be back and hope to meet you there.

Room Tip: If you are a noise princess ask for a room at the back. If you are precious about in room bathing...

“Amazing brunch, charming inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2011

We enjoyed our stay at The Chanric very much. Of course, it is one of the very best brunches we have ever had- anywhere! Ric was amazingly helpful providing restaurant recommendations (Cook in St. Helena- perfection) and winery recommendations suited to our personalities which he identified in short order. We were thankful he was able to accommodate my husband's diabetic meal requirements and in a wonderful way. Love the herb gardens and wished we could have stayed longer than one night!
