“Memorable Valentine Getaway”

We chose this place because it was conveniently located near the main street (Lincoln Ave. ) yet far enough away from the noise and exhaust. The decor was how we imagined it -- an older home with european flair and handsome furniture. We stayed in the house with another couple and we had a memorable time. Ursula cooked up a delicious full breakfast every day and were a pleasantly surprised because we were expecting the usual continental light fare. Not so and absolutely satisfying! She and her husband were delightful and easy going; and we spent a good deal sharing easy talk. Thank you Ursula and Louis. I'm glad we chose to stay at your home.

My husband and I are from New York. We heard about la chaumiere from neighbors who had stayed there in May. We were going on our honeymoon and wanted a special place to spend 5 days in the Wine Country.
The Inn is small, with only 3 rooms, and classy. The entire Inn is immaculate and the gardens are spectacular.
What we also enjoyed was their location, which is just under a block from downtown Calistoga.
We could hardly wait to wake up in the morning and see what fantastic breakfast was waiting for us.
The Innkeeper is very knowledgeable about all there is to know about restaurants, wineries and basically anything you ask about the area.
We will be back and definitely be passing the word about our find.
