Posting this years after the fact, and feeling guilty about not sharing and sparing the experience early enough for some travelers, including good friends who recently and coincidentally had a bad experience. Please, if you are counting on a relaxed atmosphere with typical B&B hospitality, this is NOT the place for you. Our stay started with the innkeeper who opened the door for us while she was arguing with PG&E on the phone and blaring David Bowie music throughout the house. We were 30 minutes late for wine and cheese plate and told so by the owner. We stayed in the Carriage House, our mattress was very old and sunken in the middle, the sheets were pilly and the down comforter was unclean. There was dust fairly thick on the carrafe of port and the platter with the chocolates was dirty as well. The only saving grace was the breakfast, prepared by a hired cook who should be commended for saving everyone at the table from our displeasure the following morning. I wrote the owner a personal letter after our stay telling her about our stay, the good points, though not out-weighing the bad----no response whatsoever, which leads me to believe that she had no regrets and that possibly our experience was not unique.
