We were delighted! This is a lovely retreat, we felt as if the whole grand lodge was ours. There are 11 high quality teas 24h available in the breakfast room, with hot water dispenser. Decorated with seasonal theme, the huge fire place draws your attention, an inviting place to read a book. Breakfast was fabulous: fruit plate with pine apple, orange, banana, blueberries, raspberries, grapes, cantilope, strawberries, guavas, pear. Homemade persimmon bread, home made preserves (plum, guava). Delicious omelette/scrambled eggs, pancakes, hashbrowns with squash. Toast & cereals are also there. This is not a 5 hotel star resort by any means, but a genuine authentic place to spend time relaxing, hiking and comtemplating. You'll see the milky way on a cloud-free night and it is extremely quiet out here - except for the rooster in the morning.
John and Suzanne are great hosts. This place is highly recommended and much preferred over cookie cutter chains.
Room Tip: We stayed upstairs in the main lodge
