I've stayed at this chain before but, not at this location. Walls are thin, can hear neighbors talking, alarm clocks and, people just outside. High Speed Internet is advertised. Don't believe what you read. It took me 2 hours just to get to this page. Network was up but, kept getting "IE cannot display the web page, check your internet connection and try again". After numerous refreshes and resetting wireless adapter, you might get to where you need to go. Rooms are decent. AC/Heat could use upgrade. Can see right outside through the vents so, flies come in to get warm. Took a shower and tried to wash my clothes. Washer worked ok, Drier needs help. Had to hang dry my clothes. If this was the only place left to stay when passing thru Buttonwillow, I probably would. Maybe.

Checking tripadvisor we decided to stay at this hotel. It did not dissappoint. This hotel was clean. It served hot waffles, bagels, cereal with butter and cream cheese, juice and coffee. It was inexpensive. The beds were very comfortable. I would recommend earplugs for the freeway noise and just trucks in general. An experienced traveler should always include earplugs when traveling along the freeway. I actually would think motel/hotels would sell them at the front desk. This hotel was as clean as any I have ever stayed in. Starbucks next door.

So my girlfriend and I chose this motel because the much nicer looking Motel 6 (there are two of them by the way, one nice, one crappy) was booked. Luckly since we were only stopping here for a few hours to sleep on our way back to LA we did not have to stay long. Firstly, I have to say the pillows here SUCK! We had to fold them over to put our heads on them and they were still less than half the thickness of a normal cheap pillow. The room was "super small" and the bathroom light didn't work, although the heat lamp did, so going to the bathroom meant baking under a little red sun. Also the check in area is behind bulletproof glass and was festering with moths. Who would want to rob someone here, that is beyond me!

Anyway, avoid Buttwillow at all costs.

PS those signs on the highway saying cheap rooms for like $39.99 are bullshat. The clerk said in a Indian accent, sorry we are sold out of those. Yeah right people are dying to stay here....

The room was tiny, hot and just gross. We didn't want to take our socks off because the carpet was dirty. The only plus was that we were able to get a few hours of sleep before continuing our long drive to San Diego. For what we got, the room should have cost $35, not $60. Don't stay here if you can avoid it.
