“Comfortable, quiet, updated motel in Burney”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2011

We stayed here for three nights in Burney and were very comfortable. Clean and quiet, with many upgraded features in the room - free wi-fi, nice TV, refurbished bathroom, equipped kitchenette. We used this as our base for Lassen VNP and Mt Shasta and were very pleased with it. The rooms filled up with people travelling after about 4pm but we heard absolutely no noise from anywhere.

Room Tip: The Buildings with rooms in are in an L shape. Ice machines etc are at the top of the U. Our room wa...

“Nice little cottage to spend time with family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2011

We were a family of 6; 2 seniors, 2 adults and 2 kids
We stayed their for one night on our way to McArthur Burney falls.
This was a neat little place, 2 beds with kitchen and a yard. Continental breakfast is good.
The kitchen had all the items needed to put together a good meal. Linens and bathrooms were clean.
The only issue was it is located right on the highway. Though there was not much traffic, it would have been awesome if it was tucked a little away.
Its just 11 miles from the Burney falls.
For the given space and amenities, it was worth the price.
We would go this place again anytime...

Room Tip: The 2B suite is very ideal for family of more than 4

“Cozy Old fashioned Motel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 July 2011

We stayed year years ago. We liked it then, and we like it now. The rooms are very rustic. They are not big but that's OK. The place is not new but the owners keep everything clean, working, and up to date. It's a great place to stay to get the feeling of an small town out in the country.

“Clean and Adorable”

Made our reservation for Fri., Aug. 6, 2010 due to past good reviews & hoped for the best. Checked into the office, which is between the Green Gables & the Charm Motels on the East side of the road, obviously having the same owner. We were very pleased with our small, but clean & cute room. It came with a double and a twin bed, large bathroom (could use a table to put toiletries on though), pine furniture, frig, microwave, coffee pot, TV & adequate continental breakfast.

The motel is shaped in a U & all the rooms look like little cottages tied together. And, each room had it's own porch with 2 chairs. For dinner we just bought a roasted chicken & cole slaw at Safeway (across the street) & ate it in our room.

The rate of $79 + tax was more than reasonable & we would certainly stay there again. (Oh.....for a GREAT breakfast or lunch at great prices, don't miss J's Cafe near the corner of Hwy's. 89 & 44.)

“Clean and Quiet”

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Green Gables. Upon check in, the staff was friendly. Although the motel seems very outdated, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was larger than many but there was no place to set your toiletry bag. The room was quiet even though the motel is right off the highway and the price was what we expected ($70) for the accommodations. They offer a continental breakfast consisting of prepackaged pastries, breakfast cereals and juices. There are restaurants within walking distance and a Safeway store right down the street. This was a fishing trip for us so it was a plus that they had a fish cleaning station and BBQ’s for guest use.
