We stayed at the Embassy Suites for 1 night, after flying in from London and before driving to Lake Tahoe the next morning. The hotel suited our needs well. It's convenient for the airport - we used the shuttle to and from, so we didn't need to pick up our hire car until the next morning. Having a living room separate from the bedroom was useful, as my partner was able to watch TV when he woke up early, without disturbing my sleep. The bed was comfy and the room was quiet, despite being close to the airport. We had a great view across the bay from the bedroom windows. The breakfast included in the room rate was very good. We ate dinner in the bar and the food there was fine, although service was a little slow. The only issue I had was with the heating in the room - it's centrally set and impossible to change the temperature. Our room was really hot, so we had to open the window in the bedroom to cool it down while we were at dinner - not practical overnight to do this, though, as it would be noisy. Overall a pretty good stay, and I'd probably use this place again for a stopover if flying into SFO.

Have always loved this hotel for a one night layover at SFO. You get the traditional Embassy Suites experience -- decent large breakfast (included), and of course the Manager Reception in evening. Nice sized suites, comfy beds, quality linens. 2 large flat screen TV's. Nice ergonomic desk chair so you can catch up on your internet based activities. Are the rooms in need of an updating? Sure they are, but they are clean, including the carpeting! Coffee service decent in room. Decent assortment of TV stations. The 1st floor lobby area is Old School California -- perfect for a stroll -- nice sized water feature winding through -- soothing. Nice place to retreat with your beverage. Even a decent gift shop. Their front desk associates have a "can do" attitude and good senses of humor. Business office with speedy internet service, and printers that actually have paper and work! Finally, good service 3x/hr shuttle service to SFO -- and only 1 other hotel to drop off.

We decided to stay at this hotel the night before our morning fligth. It is very well located, really close to the airport and has a really nice view. When we arrived we had a quick check in (we had made our reservation online previously) and he asked us if we had a car, if so he will give us a parking ticket and there would be a fee for the nigth. We were not aware of that fee so we decidede to leave our luggage at the room and return the rental car at the airport and then come back to the hotel in the free aiport shuttle. This was such a great idea because we didn´t know how much time it would take us and in that way we would be worry-free the next morning.
When we arrived back to our room we had a issu with the tv set, it was working for about 10 to 15 minutes and then the image just disappear and the sound was the only thing working. We reported the issue to the front desk and while we were having dinner a tchnician came to our room and left a note saying that the TV could not be fixed but they could offer another room. We decided to stay at this room because it was late already and we could use the tv in the room.
The bed was ok, but the bathroom seemed a little bit old (tiles, sinks, etc) The furniture looked a lillte bit used and the cushions were not very confortable (you could visualize in your mind the Simpson´s family couch!).
Breakfast was really good and the area of teh restaurant is just amazing with all that hanging gardens.
Our trip to the airport in the shuttle was quick and safe.
It was a nice place to stay but I think they can improve.

Very nice stay for a one-night layover. The rooms are true two room suites with separate bedrooms. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. Updated, tasteful furnishings. Great lobby bar for the evening nightcap. Wonderful, hot, complimentary breakfast. Reliable airport shuttle. We had not a single complaint.
