Very nice Hampton, excellent service from the staff, very clean, great breakfast. Shuttle was timely and I didn't have to wait long at all.

After my flight was unexpectedly cancelled, I had to find a place to unwind and regroup. The Hampton Inn did not disappoint. Just across the street from the bay and a wonderful walking path, it was relaxing to watch planes come and go without being noisy. Room was immaculate and quiet. Having a microwave and fridge was also a bonus, bed was comfy and cozy. Would stay here again in a New York minute.

We booked this hotel because it was across the street from an event in town we wanted to attend, and there were some reasonable offers on room rates. I wasn't expecting much, but this hotel really impressed. All of the staff, ALL of them, were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The front desk was helpful and informative and accommodated our needs without any trouble. The options for TV were great (NFL network was welcome on Sunday), and the breakfast offerings varied by day and were delicious. The free shuttle service was a lifesaver, and we were able to take it to the airport for the BART station to take a day trip into the city itself. The room also came with a microwave and fridge, which came in handy staying for a little less than a week. Honestly, the only trouble we had was the clock radio had no radio reception, and that was no big deal at all.

Strangers in a strange land, we booked this hotel based on the many favourable tripadvisor reviews. So to pay it forward, I now want to add my voice to that praise. There are many reasons why this hotel worked so well for us, so I will post them in order of the importance we placed on them. 1. BART station was a very short drive or cab ride away and we got to spend the day being tourists in downtown San Francisco without the hassle of driving there. 2. Our group had three different airport departures and the shuttle made it easy to accommodate everyone in our party. 3. The staff were super friendly and seemed happy and went beyond what we normally expect to be welcoming. 4. Besides using the shuttle, we also had a car rental to return to the airport and that was extremely easy from this location and there was plenty of good signage also. 5. The breakfast area was more spacious than any other we had been at. Up until our stay here, our experience had been cramped counters and tables at most hotels but here it was very light and open. It made our breakfast a very pleasant time. 6. Oh yeah, the rooms and the beds and all that! Well, they were great also and quiet and we got a very reasonable rate. We are Canadians that travel regularly in the States so we even signed up for a Hampton loyalty program. Other branches are going to have a hard time matching this one though. The only con and it didn't affect us in the least because we had read other reviews beforehand, was that there really isn't a whole lot of restaurants or stores within walking distance at least as far as we could tell. As long as you're aware of that though or have a vehicle to take a short drive, this hotel is perfect.
