My wife and I were traveling with our neice and nephew. When we arrived, there was no valet and we had a lot of luggage. When checking in, I stood there for almost 3 minutes before anyone, (there were two people doing nothing) even acknowledged me. When we went swimming in the pool that night, I was asked to show my room key and in which room we were staying. I can understand some measure of security, but the only way to get to the pool was through the lobby. I don't expect the staff to kiss my feet, but a little bit of "thank you" and other pleasantries goes a long way. The property was nice, and the food was good. Maybe we caught them on a bad day.

Got in late to SFO and arrived at hotel in the middle of the night. Check in no problem and room was great and comfortable. Looks like there was a recent renovation.

After driving back up from Monterey for our early morning flight back to Houston - we chose the Hilton. The building itself is older, but you can tell it had been renovated inside. The lobby was dare I say, chic. In fact its chicness betrayed the mundane exterior architecture. The room had a very large flat screen and its furnishings were top notch - definitely a business traveler oriented hotel. 24hr fitness room, indoor pool that is open till 11p, free computer access, I highly recommend this hotel. The rooms with a view which are located on the front pf the hotel overlook a small estuary and the bay. You can see SFO and Candlestick in the distance.

Shuttle runs on time, room is big and clean. The food in the restaurant is inexpensive and tastes good.
