“A room with a bed for a business trip. Nothing more.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Flying into Burbank airport is a very convenient way to begin and end a business trip to L.A. The Marriott at the airport is also very convenient but its value stops there. The property is priced for business (i.e., more expensive that is warranted by the quality of the property) and the airport operations are effectively screened out. However, the furniture and decor are in serious need of a good cleaning and an upgrade and there are little annoyances that made me very happy that I only used the hotel as a sleeping location. Chief among these was the loud, incessant whine from the air return duct in the bathroom. It was impossible to sleep unless the bathroom door was closed and a towel was wedged into the gap at the bottom. I am not exaggerating! The whine was almost as loud as my whining here! On my last trip here I stayed at the Hampton Inn near the airport: cheaper and more modern.

Room Tip: Check the room out for air-return noise before settling in.

“Closest to the Burbank Airport”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

This hotel is great if you want a comfortable place to stay right next to the airport. (Although walking from the airport to the hotel is confusing -- everyone kept telling me to take the shuttle, but it's right next door!) It's very quiet, even though the planes are taking off right next to you. The staff is friendly and helpful. The bed was the most comfortable ever! There aren't any places to eat right around there except for fast food, and really no stores or anything to do. The main reason to stay is the close proximity to the airport. I didn't try the restaurant onsite, but the room service was delicious and the portions were huge.

Room Tip: I stayed on a high floor facing the airport. It was fun to watch the planes taking off and it was ex...

You are correct – one of the many great reasons to stay at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel is its close proximity to the Burbank Airport. But that’s not all…from a complimentary daily shuttle service to Universal Studios and nearby shopping, to our on-site cardio and strength training fitness centers, our hotel has something for everyone. We’re pleased to learn you had a great night’s sleep and experience friendly and helpful service from our staff. It would be our pleasure to welcome you back for another great stay and we hope you'll try the fabulous cuisine at The Daily Grill located right onsite on your next stay. Thank you for your review.

“Good Hotel to stay while in Burbank”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Just spent 3 nights at the Burbank Airport Marriott.

Pros: Great location; right next to airport! Goos amount of places to eat nearby. Conceierge (SP?) Room and snacks were great. Great staff and great service though!

Cons: Poor Internet in room considering how much they charge. Parking access was terrible with the gates not working properly. On the upside, the hotel made good on it. (But still charged $15 day...) Avg. room was a little pricey too...

Perks: Yeah...no. It's a super busy place and as such, they give away nothing.

Would I stay again: If I "had to" stay in Burbank...near the airport...sure.

“GREAT STAY IN JANUARY”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

I was at the Marriott Burbank airport hotel for 4 days January 2012 for the Xena convention.
The first great thing about the hotel is you can walk from the Bob Hope Airport in minutes.
Oh, I also found a 20 dollar bill blowing around in the Santa Ana winds and put that in my pocket tout suite.

Check in was smooth and pleasant and I had my requested refrigerator in room within minutes. I laid in some provisions from the Target superstore and Ralph's grocery.

The two pools at the hotel are lovely and I used the one in my tower often. My pool was by the restaurant so after you got even hungrier than usual from swimming. I was usually the only one doing laps in the pool as most others were at the convention and that is what I call "sacred time". The pool temperature was perfect. I also used the treadmills and the room temperature in the fitness center was not too hot as often happens in hotel fitness centers.

My room attendant, Conception (not sure if I spelled this right) made sure I had 2 regular coffee brewing units as I do not drink decaf. She kept my room in good shape.

The lights by my bed did not turn on and I tried replacing a bulb with one I know worked and they still did not function. I was taking the elevator to the pool on Sunday and saw the hotel engineer. We think his name was Manuel. I told him about the lights and he asked if he could go to my room. I said yes and by the time I got done swimming, lights worked! Great service and he probably did not have to do this so quickly.

I wish it was easier to get to the beaches from Burbank but that is not the hotel's fault. All in all,
excellent value and every staff person I talked too was helpful and very pleasant.
Great product Marriott.

Watson

Room Tip: I had a non adjoining room. Not sure if this made a difference but my room was very quiet.

“I couldn't have written a better script”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

It had to be just us, but the hotel was not secure. The elevators did NOT require room keys for access. This would not be a big deal if we weren't in Los Angeles, by an airport, while they were hosting a NA convention. That is right, a NA convention was being held without fair warning to the other families that may have booked that evening. All I could do as I saw people wondering around and "smoking" in the parking lot was, "thank goodness my daughter isn't with us today."

They called themselves full service, based upon my regular hotel use, I thought there was aquite a bit left to be desired. No complimentary breakfast, so no milk for the 3 year old son while running out the door. I've had better experiences, to their defense, I"ve had worst as well. The Daily GRILL was AWESOME!

Room Tip: Not necessarily the best choice for families.

While it seems that you thoroughly enjoyed the Daily Grill, your experience in our hotel was not what you expected, and for that we apologize. Being able to host a variety of different gatherings in our Conference Center is something that attracts many organizations to our location. With our 24-hour security in place and our smoke-free policy strictly enforced, guests can be assured of a relaxing and refreshing stay while in our hotel. It is unfortunate that your time here was not more enjoyable and we would hope to have another opportunity in the future to change your opinion of our hotel. Thank you for your review.
