Our family of 4 stayed here one night only because we had an early tour at WB Studios, which was a quick 5-10 minute walk away. The hotel is tidy and priced right, and the parking was complimentary. We walked to a Chipotle and a Subway nearby, and drove a mile to a nearby grocery. It seems to be located in a 'business' type area so it is probably quiet on the weekends. You are a short drive to the Hollywood sights, and literally just on the backside of the Hollywood hill sign. The only complaint was being on the ground floor facing an alley. I don't think any room in this low-rise hotel has a view, but fortunately we really weren't in the rom except to shower.

Good location in a quiet area. Nice to come back to after all the noisy crowds in Hollywood. BUT there were a few issues of which to be aware.

First, the hard water. If you live somewhere with hard water and hate it (like I do), and have a water softener, it's annoying to pay $300 a night and the hotel doesn't bother to invest the money to deal with it.

Next, the shower. We had a handicap accessible two bedroom "suite" (only one bath and no sink/mirror outside of the bathroom?), so hopefully the other rooms don't have this issue, but you'd have to be about 5'6" to use
the shower in a normal fashion. I'm 6' tall and the shower head was at
my chin level. My son is 6'2" and
could hit his head on the ceiling of
the shower by standing on his toes.
Be forewarned.

So, I was happy to find a room that could fit my family of five (two
queens and a sofabed), instead of having to get two rooms, but, as usual, it wasn't perfect.

Oh, and the towel rod is 10 feet away from the bathroom sink. Would it kill them to buy one at home depot and put it up next to the sink?

We stayed here for 3 days July 27-29th and had an absolutely wonderful stay.
The Staff and customer service are next to none! They bent over backwards to ensure our stay was as accommodating as possible, and even took the time to give us hand written directions to all the places we were trying to drive to. It is within walking distance to several restaurants and Warner Bros. Studios, and an easy drive to anything else you want to see.
Rooms were spotless, spacious, quiet and bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast had a variety of things to choose from, certainly something for everyone.
I was so impressed with the staff and our stay and will definitely recommend it.

Stayed at this hotel as our base for visiting Hollywood and Universal Studios. Upon arrival at 2:00, we were told by the front desk clerk that our room wasn't ready yet. Not a big deal as we were off to do some sightseeing anyway. However, when we returned at 5:00 and went up to the room, it was very obvious that the carpet hadn't been vacuumed. Phoned front desk who said he would find us another room but we ended up bumping into housekeeping staff who took care of it. Room itself was small but we weren't going to be in the room much so wasn't an issue. Location was great, just minutes from Universal Studios.

Hotel was obviously booked solid and the front desk clerk was overwhelmed. Calls down to the front desk went unanswered. Couldn't get any extra blankets as they had run out. During our 3 day stay, we only saw the same 2 guys alternating shifts. Breakfast in the morning was adequate. Be sure to walk down to the Big Bob. Rather pricey but it's amazing to see the pictures of all the stars who have dined there. Tough to find Los Angeles hotels that will allow 3 kids in one room so we would probably stay at this hotel again.
