“New Favorite!”

Sometimes it's hit or miss with Courtyards, but this one is definitely above average and we'll return here on our next trip to Burbank. Very clean, modern, spacious with comfortable rooms and good amenities; adjacent to shopping center and eateries, convenient to the airport, and just a 10 minute drive to downtown Burbank added to the list of reasons to stay here . The front desk staff and restaurant/bar helpers were efficient and friendly. Breakfast buffet isn't complimentary, but parking and wifi are, so we were willing to compromise on that one. Noise level not bad at all. All in all, a keeper for sure!

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room on the backside of the property, although the street n...

“A Nice Surprise!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

I travel to Burbank alot and being Marriott elite, I usually stay at the Burbank Airport Marriott because they have some nice perks for elite members, but this last weekend the Airport Marriott had some really insanely expensive rates so I switched over to the Courtyard and was so happy about my choice! I can't believe I hadn't tried this place until now, but I am now using this hotel as my Burbank base when I come into town.

Courtyards, like Forest Gump would say, are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get. This one hit all the right notes. A very comfortable room, well layed out (with a balcony, I'm guessing that was my perk for being an elite?) Walking distance to a mall , a lobby with some great eating and drinking options and free wifi!. I did not try the restaurant out this trip, but the Breakfast Buffett at $11 seems dirt cheap for a hotel in LA. Free parking was another advantage over the Airport Marriott.

Front Desk Service was efficient friendly and quick. Also, the one ESSENTIAL for me, is that I could not hear any noise when in my room, no hallway noise, no outside noise, nothing, nada. Loved it.

I'm so glad that the Airport Marrriott got a little too greedy this past weekend, because I've got my new "go to" hotel in Burbank.

It was a family trip for us, and the hotel was perfect! Nice pool and and the hot tub at night was so relaxing. The romm was clean and very nice. The beds were comfortable. The only problem we had was that we were five and we did had problems having towels and everything for everyone of us... We had to call downstair every night... But I would definately stay there again!

Dear Oceanbleue,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback about your visit to our hotel. We really appreciate when our guests do that as it only provides us with the opportunity to better ourselves and sharpen our skills.

I am glad that the hotel's cleanliness exceeded your expectations and that you enjoyed using some of the amenities at the hotel. I do agree with you that our pool/spa area is pretty relaxing. I do apologize however that you had to call nightly to get additional towels to accommodate everyone in your party. Next time you are here we will be sure to make a notation on your reservation so that our housekeeping team can leave the adequate number of linens for everyone staying in the room.

Thank you once more and we are thrilled to know that you would stay with us again the next time you are in Burbank.

Sincerely,

Khaled Kaawar

“One of the nicer Courtyards, good staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

A co-worker and stopped in here by accident after having made reservations at the Marriott nearby. Staff here was able to cancel the other reservation and book us both at the government rate. It ended up being cheaper at this Courtyard than the Marriott because there is no parking fee here. Staff was very attentive throughout. The food at the bar and in the restaurant in the morning was above average. However, it would be nice to receive some type of comped breakfast. The buffet costs $11, including made to order omelets, though there is a limited selection of ingredients.

Dear Hoopsdad,

Thank you so much for sharing your story about your stay at our Courtyard. It brings me great joy to know that we were able to hit the mark and deliver the services levels you grew to expect from a Marriott brand.

Please accept my apologies about the limited selection on the omelet station, please let me know what would you have liked to see and the team and I will see what we can do to deliver that on your next visit.

Thank you again and we look forward to hosting you again real soon.

“The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

people found this review helpful

The Good:
-The rooms are small but the beds are COMFORTABLE.
Good channels on the tv
-FREE use of guest computers in the lobby; good for printing your boarding pass or checking your email
-Location is just a short drive from the I-5 and adjacent to a mall
-Heated outdoor pool
-The lobby, bar and breakfast area is attractively decorated with a colorful, modern touch. The breakfast area even has a few tables with tvs!
-FREE parking; never had issue with parking during our weekend stay

The Bad:
-Exiting the parking lot of the hotel was irritating at times due to traffic from the mall
-Limited Starbucks menu served during very limited hours; I didn't stay here to drink Starbucks but someone expecting to have their special Starbucks drink at 2pm would be very disappointed

The Ugly:
-NO.FREE.BREAKFAST. In a Courtyard? Really? Not even just a free continental breakfast? For $9 per person, you get access to a limited breakfast buffet...no frills bagels, tiny boxes of cereal, yogurt, some fresh fruit, and muffins plus a couple of hot items like bacon, sausage, corned beef, and potatoes. For $11 per person, you get access to cooked-to-order waffles and omelets. Yes, I know this is the L.A. area and $11 per person is not too bad, especially for waffles and omelets. Only thing is we are vegetarians and did not care about all the meat, nor do we eat eggs. Most hotels these days serve a free continental breakfast (cereal, muffins, bagels), so why not make that free and charge extra for the hot stuff?

Bottom line: This is a nice hotel but you may find a better value elsewhere.
