Stayed here for 10 days in August 2011
Really enjoyed it, was right next to the theme park so meant could go to park in the morning and come back for a swim then go back to park
easily accessible just off the motor way
10 min drive to disney
a bit further for hollywood ~45 mins
Clean hotel with a big room (2 double beds)
nice pool and small gym but all you need when your on holiday
good value when bought in a package
had free wifi and free safe
only problem was maids didnt always clean the room if you slept in!
and quite a few ice machines didnt work so had to get the lift to another floor for ice

We got the two nights stay with two days passes to park and one breakfast. It was a great time, the hotel is within walking distance of Knott;s. sense we spent more time at the park than in the room it was worth the stay. the Hotel is an older hotel, but they take pride in it and keeping it looking clean and up to date. The staff was excellent. the breakfast buffet could have been a little better, but again it was a great deal. We enjoyed our experience. Thank you Knott's Berry Farm resort.

After reading some of the "not so great" reviews on this location, I have to admit I was a bit sceptic about staying here.....But much to my surprise the hotel was very nice. We have traveled both here and in Europe and have stayed in a variety of properties, and it really amazes me how anyone could give this hotel anything less that a "very good" rating. We were traveling as a family with two young children and the staff in the hotel and restaurant went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Even when I had to change my reservations twice, the transactions were handled in a courteous and helpful manner. Check in was accomplished within minutes of arrival and our rooms were located exactly where I had requested. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant and the food was good and the service excellent. There were complaints that the rooms were old and out-dated, and I will admit they could use a little up-dating and newer beds, but they were clean, smelled fine, and everything was in working order. My 9 year ald grandson even looked for the mold he read about in one of the reviews and couldn't find it. So if there was, the hotel staff is working to make improvements .I'm sure the hotel gets crazy in the summer, but keep in mind when you book that this property is geared for families and children.

Although it is close to the park, the room was small and the hotel is definitely dated. We had a 2 queen bedroom. The beds are horrible and the bathroom was not totally clean. You could see mold or dirt underneath the shower lip, the reason for the negative review. The beds were so hard, two weeks later my back still hurts, and we were only there two days. The property was clean, the staff friendly, If you are going to stay there, bring your own egg crate or something. Maybe I am just used to sleeping on my gel comforter. And $14 a night for parking was a little outrageous.
