This Marriott is the perfect place to stay when visiting the Santa Ynez while on a budget. I'm a firm believer in getting more bang for your buck as well as making sure that you're comfortable. After all, what's the point of paying for a hotel room if you won't be comfortable enough to get a decent night's sleep, right? With that said, the more budget hotels in this area just didn't cut it for me (yeah, I know the Days Inn was in Sideways, big whup) so we ended up here.

While this Marriott may seem a little more outdated than their other locations, the rooms were clean and comfortable. They were also spacious, quiet, and had good a/c and heating. I liked that there was a small fridge in the room and the small sitting area and writing desk also came in handy. Their bathrooms are more updated than most hotels in this price range, there was tea and cookies in the lobby, and they seem very business-friendly. Wireless internet was free, checking in was a breeze, and they've got several restaurants on site (although we didn't go to them seeing as though Hitching Post and Solvang are a 3 min. drive from here).

There is super easy access to the 101, Buellton, Solvang, and Los Olivos-- all are within a 15 minute drive. So if you're in town for wine tasting or on business, this is a good choice. Seeking luxury? Try elsewhere. Oh, and their basement level also has a small game room with video games and a pool table; it's sort of creepy, but there's a bust-a-move machine...score!

We stayed here on way to Santa Barbara. The hotel is located at heart of winery country. Rooms are spacious and well equipped but a bit dated. The whole hotel is in need of some renovation. It could be a good destination for weekend break.

It's country but it's charming. The location is very good in the Santa Ynez valley 2 blocks from Solvang and few miles away from the wineries in Los Olivos and surrounding areas.
I booked this room thru a third party website I always call prior arrival to make sure I get a king bed, feather pillows etc. I didn't call ahead this time big mistake the hotel was sold out and we end up in an accessible room with a really odd shape in front of the gym and nearby the restaurant but for 1 night was ok. I recommend this hotel it definitely needs some contemporary updates. I need to mention that the concierge was so nice and helpful if I remember correctly his name is Leroy.

Arrived to the Marriott just beyond the Danish town of Solvang in the mountains beyond Santa Barbara. Our bedroom suite was huge and comfortable with gorgeous views of the mountains and a ranch. Delicious brunch in the hotel restaurant. The Christmas decorations in every corner of the lobby and hallways were a bit much, but it was holiday season!
