“Staff was Outstanding.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

Stayed four nights 1/5 - 1/8/12 Arrived early (12:30) check in time was posted 3pm. No problem, checked us right in. Room was nice, although it would be nice if the cleaning staff sprayed with Lysol as they leave the room. All hotel rooms smell a bit stuffy. Three trash cans - yeah. I guess all hotels buy their trash cans from the same itty bitty trash can vendor. Rooms were very, very dark when all shadew were drawn - I should take a traveling nite light. Bathroom roomy, and the shower had good size shelfs in them, providing easy access for shampoo, soap, etc. Shower would not drain, service was there within minutes of our call. Staff was outstanding; check in, breakfast area, happy hour, cleaning. Everyone seemed to truly care about their guests. The breakfast spread was unbeatable. Happy hour drinks (full bar) fabulous. Bartendar - wonderful.
Location was great, although we turned into the property just by mistake. Could be tricky to find exactly where to go. We left with a big smile on our face, very nice experience.

“Stay for the breakfast”

Stayed here for two nights in May. Good location and great hotel. The main thing i can say about this hotel is how great the breakfast is. So much choice and such good value for the price you pay to stay. Would stay here again for the breakfast, the rooms were average but enjoyed our stay and would return.

“Safe Bet with Comfort and Convenience”

We did a family of four stay during the holiday week (Dec 25 – Jan 1) and came away quite satisfied with what was to be expected from an Embassy Suites Hotel.

Situated in the City of Brea just outside of Anaheim, this ideal staging area hotel gave you the ability to be far away from the hustle and bustle of Anaheim yet just a short drive to all the major parks.

The hotel had some signs of age but was mostly well managed and maintained. Hotel rugs, although dated, did pass the white sock tests. Walls were rock solid.

Some oddities during our stay included only receiving towel sets for three when we had four registered guests. As previously mentioned, the age of the hotel has also caused our shower unit within the room to require repair during out stay. We did notice some food tray items left outside of rooms for substantially long periods of time. The hotel staff was well responsive to all of our requests.

A very appreciation comment goes to the hotel security gentlemen whom took it upon themselves to offer assistance with our luggage during our very late Christmas evening check in. Very thoughtful for their help.

Being close to Pasadena it was expected to have some guests here for the Rose bowl parade, we just didn’t expect a very large band. However the hotel management constructed a solution to provide services like breakfast to the band in a separate location (meeting room). This helped relieve the volume of people during the morning rush. For some reason, during our stay, on the first three days, the breakfast area was very overcrowded even without the band.

Internet access is wireless, however with a corner room, access was challenging and sometimes did not work as well as expected. As a network engineer I found this perplex as I could see the access point for the wireless connection within 25 feet from my room door so I’m unsure why connectivity was such a challenge.

One shortcoming with too many Embassy Suites, this one as well, is the lack of a safe in the room. Now the location is very safe but with plenty of space and cabinets, why not have one in the rooms?

This is an ideal and highly recommended hotel to stay when visiting the Anaheim area. Getting to and from the highways was very accessible.

Notes: This hotel only has an outdoor pool. During our stay, although mild for this time of year, we did not utilize the pool area.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are away from the main center courtyard area. However, these usually have the stairwel...

“Consistent Quality in a Convenient Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

My husband and I stay at the Embassy Suites Brea every year during Thanksgiving -- mostly for its location, which is close to my parents' house as well as the Brea Mall (i.e. great for Black Friday shopping). This Embassy Suites has an Egyptian theme, so don't be surprised if you see a few fake sarcophagi or Egyptian paintings in and around the hotel.

As Embassy Suites go, the layout is pretty standard: courtyard-style structure, with daily buffet breakfast on the ground floor. The breakfast includes a great omelet station, as well as solid basics like fresh fruit, cereal, oatmeal, bacon, and sausage. The suites are comfortable, too -- front room with couch and TV, back room with bed and additional TV. Good size space, if a little dark.

Overall, it's a good, consistent experience. I'd especially recommend it for shoppers.
