kind of a reply to some earlier reviews. if you do not want to have cleaning staff knock on your door at 8:00 in the morning, there is always a do not disturb sign is available. have you ever stayed at a hotel before? small towns like this can not get a better hotel than this one. the service and price are great. if you are looking for a five star resort you would not be in southeastern CA. I can not compliment the staff more than always staying at this hotel when working in the area.

Room Tip: building three seems a little quieter from traffic.

“Good value, large rooms, perfect for business travelers.”

Husband and I stayed here on a leisure trip to Glamis (Imperial Sand Dunes) when we decided to go for a two day trip and chose NOT to stay in a small trailer with 5 other people and 2 dogs! Can you blame us? I picked the Brawley Inn based on previous Trip Advisor reviews. We got a room in the back building which was very quiet, lots of parking space here. The room was large and comfortable with a large desk, rolling desk chair, small sofa and coffee table. There is no closet, but there is a large armoire. Room has a good size bathroom and a microwave and small refrigerator too. The beds were just ok, linens were fine but the mattress was hard. Room was clean, bathroom includes a wall-mounted magnifying mirror which was a nice touch. Not so nice was the dirty fingerprints still on the mirror, and the dirty fingerprints on the door jamb and around the light switch. Chain lock on the door was broken but security lock worked fine. Small problem with the toilet in room 305: after flushing the water keeps running until I took the tank lid off and seated the flapper by hand. Not fun in the middle of the night. Needs some maintenance. Front desk service was friendly and helpful. Desk clerks are bi-lingual (English/Spanish). We would stay here again. Tip: take a traveling night-light as the bathroom is pitch black at night.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back building #4.

“If you have to sleep in Brawley, this is the place. Clean and gracious rooms. Exceeded my expectations.”

The staff was welcoming and the breakfast was filling. The beds were what you would find in a much more expensive hotel.

“Cell phone lost or stolen by hotel staff - extremely poor customer service”

A very large group that I was with stayed at this hotel last week. The room looks clean until closer look - the bed spread looks like a down comforter but the inside is so old it is crunchy. The hotel staff does not know how to smile. I left my cell phone by accident in my hotel room. I called and I asked if it was there and they said call tomorrow and they would know. Called back and they said yes house keeping found the phone but they weren't sure where it was - call tomorrow. Called again and they said the person wasn't there that they needed to ask call back later. This went on for another day, I asked to speak to the manager - she was less than helpful, said that they were still looking for it but yes they had found it. I have called her two days in a row now and I don't even get a call back. Certainly appears that this was stolen. I have also stayed at the Best Western in Brawley and it was a much better experience.

“Not very clean and very noisey”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2011

The room looked great when I opened the door but on further inspection it was anything but. There was a dark stain on the blanket, a piece of blue plastic on the rug and pillow feathers on the sofa. Their restaruant next door (Aspen in the desert) was excellent. I decided to stay anyway but when the room next to mine was rented it was so loud, it was like having them in the room with me. I asked to be moved, which the clerk did, but the next room smelled of mildew, so I decided to get a refund and keep on driving. I would not stop again, even though it looks gracious.
