We stayed in "The Bear's Den" cabin on 1/2/2012 for 2 nights. It was perfect for us because we have two teenage boys and they each had their own bed. The cabin made me think of a small house because it had everything we needed including a front & back yard. Gloria at the front desk was very helpful. She gave us info on where to eat, snowboard and go for walks/hikes. It was a great trip!

My husband and I stayed this past weekend for our 13th anniversary and LOVED IT. The cabin was perfect and I loved the decor, the special little touches like the chocolates, bath crystals and sparkling cider are a special touch. The skylights were great and just everything about it was perfect. You can bet we will be coming back again and again. Only regret is we couldn't stay longer and sorry we hadn't found it sooner!!

Our family of three really enjoyed the jacuzzi condo. My husband and I shared the King bed in the main bedroom, while our daughter used the full sized bed in the 2nd bedroom/kitchen area. The cabin offered us a warm, cozy retreat after a day of skiing and tubing. The small kitchen area is a huge plus, and we enjoyed eating breakfast there in the morning and enjoying cocoa and snacks there later in the day. We enjoyed the onsite sledding hill (weather dependent of course!) and the barn with llamas and bunnies. The owners were very friendly and accomodating, and it is a great location in Big Bear. I would highly recommend the Pine Knot cabins for couples or small families.

If you are questioning where to stay while in Big Bear – look no further! My fiancée and I stayed for a long weekend to celebrate my 30th B-day. The cabin was adorable. The furnishings were nice, and new. They provided everything, and anything you would need while staying in the cabin. There was plenty of towels, dishes, pots and pans, and even coffee and creamer for the coffee maker (even though we had brought our own, I thought it was a considerate touch). The staff was very friendly – the woman at the front desk suggested a few trails that my fiancée and I had never visited before. We really enjoyed the pedal path along the north shore. She also suggested visiting the zoo, and let us know it was Oktoberfest at the Convention Center. She circled everything on a map for us – which really made our weekend! It was especially nice to enjoy the Jacuzzi after a long walk and then enjoy dinner by the fireplace. It made for a wonderful mini-vacay!
