“One night stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

I only travel to Big Bear to snowboard. My friend and I like to try different hotels each time we go. This time we tried the Fireside lodge. My first impressions were great when I spoke with Jaquiline and Annie they really make you feel comforable to talk to. The room we stayed in was a little small but comfortable, we were only staying one night. They do have other rooms that are bigger. Otherwise the only issues were 1 hanger and the coffee pot was real small but you have to know I drink alot of coffee so it really isnt thier problem. With 1 hanger though we had no where to hang all our gear. Breakfast was great just wish they served it a little earlier than 8. We will stay again! As I said the staff was great!

Room Tip: Always refer to the hotels website they offer specials. call them directly never use orbit or anythi...

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

You get to ski for FREE on your Birthday at Snow Summit! My Birthday happens to fall on the Christmas Holiday Weekend, and this year my Fiancé and I decided to make a last minute decision to stay for a couple of nights, and take our dog with us.
Our Mission Impossible was to find last minute accomidations for 2 nights right before the Christmas Holiday weekend, take our dog, be next to the slopes, have an indoor Spa, with no minimum stays and reasonable price. (Good Luck)
All the cabins, and the various travel places were either booked, had a no pets rule, required a minimum 3nights stay at outrageous premium pricing.
However!!!
My mission became very possible when I happend to call Fireside Lodge, and a wonderful lady by the name of Brittany answered my call! After I shared my mission with her, She worked diligently for 24hrs to help make it happen! She searched through all availabilities at all their 3resorts, and even called the owners on my behalf to not only find and secure exactly the accomidations we were seeking, but to also try to meet our special requests for early check-in and no restrictions!
Dear Brittany,
We can't Thank You enough for all your efforts and assistance in making my Birthday weekend an Amazing magical experience shared with my Fiancé, and our beloved dog Daisy!!!!
Brittany was able to find us a charming and cozy Spa Studio (#3) with a 2person jacuzzis spa inside next to the queen bed, and a fireplac with a partial view of the lake 5minutes away from Snow Summit! She even worked it out so we can check-in at 8:30am instead of their normal 4pm so that we can get situated and get a full day Ski session!
Fireside Lodge, and The Spa Studio is an excellent choice, and cant be beat for a spontaneous Big Bear/Ski Trip for 2 and, of course your Pet:)
Our Spa Studio #3 was perfect! Very Clean and Cozy, and let me share that having a 2 person Jacuzzie Spa right next to your bed with a Fire place right above, and a flat screen T.V mounted on the wall in front is truely an incredible LuXuary after a full day of skiing!!! Not to mention the incredibly nice and accomodating staff/management and specially our host Ms. Brittany!
Thank You Fireside Lodge for an incredible, and Magical Weekend!!!

“Special Anniversary Trip”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

As we were married 27 years ago in Big Bear Lake and stayed at the Fireside Lodge we thought it would be nice to "return to the scene of the crime". We were, however, somewhat disappointed with the level of service compared to 27 years ago. Though the staff was hospitable, we did not find the special type of friendliness that was so important to our other visits to Big Bear. This town used to be what we called "God's Country" during our many visits and time spent there. Now it seems to be no more than a tourist stop to see how much money can be made and how little service is really necessary. Several times I had to ask for basic services and storage space was VERY limited for clothing (very uncomfortable when you're staying for a week). If we do travel to BB again, we definitely will not make this our first choice.

Room Tip: See if any have storage space for your clothing or plan on living out of your suitcase.

“Weekend in Big Bear Lake CA”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 December 2011

This was my first time staying at this lodge but found it to be nice, it was clean and the view of the lake was great. The unit we stayed in had a jacuzzi tub and small kitchenette. Jaquiline was great, she offered to drive us so we could go skiing and when the cab company never showed, she came to pick us up. Only drawback was a lack of hangers and or a place to hang your coat, but I look forward to going back. My girlfriend stays here all the time and she just loves it, and it is close to some choice resturants, the village and skiing.

Cab company is horrible so plan on driving!

Room Tip: Get a room upstairs with a Jacuzzi

“Excellent hotel, wonderful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2011

We visited Big Bear Lake with our classic car club and the Fireside Lodge had wonderful staff, excellent hotel rooms and tastefully decorated faclities available for our group to meet. They provided us with breakfast every morning, view of Big Bear Lake (from some of the rooms) and fireplaces in many of the rooms and a welcome bottle of wine for each couple. What more could we ask for?

Room Tip: We selected an upstairs room because it came with a outside table and chairs and fireplace.
