I really liked the common areas of this hotel more than I liked the rooms. The garden area was lovely and inviting, even in January. The freshly baked cookies and coffee/tea that are available in the afternoon and evening in the check-in area are a nice touch. The living room with the comfy couches and gas fireplace are very inviting. The rooms seemed a bit tired and somewhat musty, although ours was very roomy. One bed was very soft and there was a step up from one room to the next that was a real trip hazard. When we came in at midnight we could hear, in one of our rooms and in the bathroom, the folks in the next room talking very loudly. The parking was certainly adequate on the weekends since the overflow could park on the street, but it would be problematic during the week. Overall, a pleasant experience.
