What a delightful find on the estuary just south of Morrow Bay! We discovered this little friendly place on our way to Montana de Oro State Park. We stayed in "the loft," the top floor of a separate building from the main inn - a huge room with eat-in kitchen, king and queen beds, desk, couch and easy chairs, and bathroom with a huge circular stained glass window. Despite two space heaters and a fireplace, we couldn't warm the room above 58 on a freezing cold January night, but that didn't mar our stay. A delicious complimentary breakfast and great coffee warmed us in the morning. The property is right on the estuary, and wonderful for birdwatching. Very friendly and helpful staff. Complimentary wine and cheese at sundown.
Room Tip: We chose the loft rather than a bay-view room because we needed two beds.
