We stayed here recently as a mid-point between destinations. The room was big & clean. Had a microwave & refrigerator and most importantly to us, allowed dogs. Nice big comfy bed too. The only inconvenience was that they have a retainer wall around the perimeter of the rooms with only 2 inlets so it we weren't able to unload right in front of the room. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Clean room, clean sheets, clean bathroom.

AC is not strong enough though for the Sept night. I cranked it up to the max and the room is still hot. However, it was like 90-100 at night too.

The Days Inn doesn't look like much from the road, but the rooms are actually reasonably nice for the price in this area. The room included a fridge and microwave. The bedding was nice with the 4 pillows all lined up, and the bed was comfortable. The A/C unit was modern and didn't make a ton of noise. The TV had many channels, but there was no channel line-up guide (at least in my room). The high-speed wireless Internet was fair-to-good. On the downside, the basic infrastructure shows some signs of wear -- for example, some of the outlets were a little questionable, with broken cover plates exposing the internals. And there was a slight whiff of mildew in the bathroom.

As far as location, it's truly EZ-Off, EZ-on the I-10 freeway. There is a Subway and Starbucks adjacent, a couple gas stations at the freeway exit, and McDonalds, Taco Bell, Carrows, Sizzler, etc. just a short distance away. There is also a casino and outlet mall a few exits up the freeway. Banning is a nice little town about 90 miles from L.A. and perhaps 20 miles from Palm Springs.

A suggestion -- the motel is "L" shaped, so request a room in the part of the "L" that doesn't face the noisy 8-lane freeway. Much quieter.

We checked in easily with the front desk. They were very friendly and willing. We were going to a concert that night at Soboba Casino featuring Stevie Nicks and Chris Isaac. Since all the motels in Hemet/San Jacinto were booked, we had to book 14miles away in Banning, right off the 10 freeway. Still, the room was clean as a whistle, fluffy pillows & comfy beds were great plus a microwave and mini refrigerator were a nice touch. Subway and Starbucks are right next door so you won't starve and you'll be comfortably buzzed in the morning. Although there is a continental breakfast, it is miniscule and there's no place to sit down, simply carry out. The negatives in our room was a non-working hair dryer which we tried to fix but it needed to be replaced. The tub had a little age with some dark dings on the bottom. The stucco job in the bathroom which has had been repaired(?) left little to the imagination. Below average. I did hear a couple of thudding arounds at 3am on the second floor but I just cranked my ocean machine at night. Just a heads up, there is no safe to put your valueables in their rooms so hide your stuff carefully.
