Very nice place, clean rooms one with computer and flat screen TV. All had refrigerators and microwaves. Breakfast next door was included in the stay, and right next to Buck Owens Crystal Palace.

The room was excellent, very clean with new modern furnishings, which included a fridge and microwave. The hotel grounds are wonderful especially the pool area which is surrounded by lovely flowers and large palm trees. There was a large coach party staying the same night we were there and they did use the pool until quite late so it was a bit noisy up until about 11pm but after that it was quiet.

The price included an excellent hot complimentary breakfast, which is unusual, normally complimentary breakfast is just a Danish and coffee.

The hotel is located very close to the Freeway and is ideal if you are on a stopover and don’t want the hassle of driving into a large city. The downside is that there are no restraunts near by. We thought this didn’t matter because the hotel had an on-site restaurant owned and staffed by Best Western. Upon check-in we were told that the restraunt stayed open until 9pm but it closed much earlier for no apparent reason and we only just managed to get served. The lounge was also closed so we were not allowed to be served a beer or wine with our meal. The food arrived quickly but was heavily salted and very unpalatable.

Upon our return home we were asked to complete a Customer Satisfaction Survey where I mentioned the problem with the restaurant. To my surprise I was given a $25 refund so in the hotel’s defence they are genuinely concerned with a less than perfect stay.

Very clean, very friendly, great pool , wonderful breakfast.
We stayed for one night and wished we could stay longer.

112 degrees in Bakersfield when we checked in, first of all lost the fact we were traveling with a dog. Get to our room, cockroach, they call it a water bug, dead on the bathroom floor and AC not working. Told to give it time and check back later. Came back later, AC not working, told maintenance would have to check, but we could move to another room. By the time maintenance checked, no more rooms available, so we got a refund and moved to another motel at 11pm at night. By the way, no where around the motel to walk your dog except asphalt, very very hot asphalt.
Other family members staying in a second room were kept awake by pool noise and noisy ice maker.
