We were on our way to Orange County and needed a place to stop for the night. We like the Marriott brand and decided to try the SpringHill Suites in Bakersfield. We arrived about midnight without a reservation. We were greeted warmly at the front desk and had our room keys in a matter of minutes. We could see a school bus in the parking lot so we knew there was some sort of athletic team here for the night. We asked for a quiet room. We couldn't have been happier. Great night sleep. The bed was comfortable, shower great, quiet place to relax before getting back on the road. The complementary breakfast has a lot of variety--oatmeal, waffles, eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt, juice, milk. Check-out was also a breeze. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

We use this hotel as a stop over when we travel to the SF Bay Area. Clean and Safe hotel, good meal in the morning..

We stayed one night here as a stop before visiting the Sequoia National Forest. It was quiet when we checked in, but by the time morning rolled around, there were two bus loads of other tourists. The staff were efficient and very friendly. The room was nice, although the layout could have been better. What were they thinking when they put the toilet so close to the shower! The location is within a large pool of other hotels which is good as restaurants were congregated within the area as well.
