I have extended family in the area so I travel here quite frequently. I've rented the studio-1dbrm-2bdrm units and they are all very nice. This is a pretty new hotel in a new and nice part of town. There is a lovely new shopping area with upscale shops and theaters very close by. The Homewood Suites are new, clean and friendly. It is set up exactly a cookie cutter of other Homewood Suites and sometimes that's a good thing. Their lobby is neat and well kept, in the winter months usually a fire burning in the stone fireplace and plenty of space at the breakfast area for the included breakfast buffet items. There is a good selection of breakfast items and always refilled quickly. There is Starbucks coffee and premium creamers, a hot food that is absolutely adequate and most other popular breakfast items you can image (cereal, sweet rolls, oatmeal, make your own pancakes, fruit, yougurt, juices). There is a small sundries area if you forgot something you can probably buy it in a pinch, but there is a Vons and a RIte Aid a couple blocks behind. Parking is adequate and well lit. I've never used their pool, but it is outdoor, always looks clean and well kept. Another thing I love about Homewood Suites is that you can check in online and choose your own suite, literally. You are shown a map of available rooms and you can pick the room number (by elevator, in corner, far end, etc.) If I've ever not gotten the one I've chosen, I don't remember. All in all, a very good stay at a good price. Pricies vary depending on time of year but seem to remain around $100 on weekends. Very kid friendly, as there are usually a few families at breakfast in the lobby, but I've never heard one through the walls of the room or down the halls. On this last trip though, we could hear one constantly running around above us so my suggestion is get a room on the top floor. However, it was the only time I've been bothered by ceiling noise in the many times I've stayed.
