I stopped here on a road trip from OKC to Berkeley. It is in a sea of hotels, but when you walk in you really feel comfortable. There is a big lobby with a fire place (and boy was I cold in the Mojave on a January night). There is a bar and restaurant which I didn't sample and lack ambiance, but the big room was very comfortable, as was the lobby. I only spent a few hours here but I thought it was a pretty nice place.

It was my first stay in Hilton Garden Inn and Bakersfiled, and it was an impressive stay.

We arrived at night, but the friendly and professional frontdesk staff and the indoor pool made us energized. Although it was not a 24-hour pool, it was good enough to find one in a hotel of this size. The fitness room is tiny, but everything works. The room is standard with free WiFi to everyone. The hotel is next to a Courtyard and I could image some competition there.

One thing particular was the breakfast. It was made to order and very good taste. The hotel lobby is bright and welcoming. Bakersfild is not too far away (1 hours) from Sequoia NP. We will definitely choose this property again if we return back to the area in the future.

Everything was perfect-the cleanliness, room quality and breakfast. Location is convenient right by 99.

I am a Hilton group regular.. Just about all of the time with them, you know what you are going to get.. and that is consistent facilities, to a standard, with good/great staff who will try and help..

So.. This is a fairly typical Garden Inn.. Convenience of location will depend upon what you are looking for, but I found it OK for my needs.. close to freeway access etc..

Rooms are well sized and have all the GI conveniences.. AC can be noisy and it's not helped when housekeeping turn the AC off during the day.. and, being Bakersfield, you'll be needing it..

Hotel was pretty busy when i was there and I can't say that affected my stay.. I always got the elevator 1st time..

Breakfast is fine and your hot orders are cooked to order, which is nice..

Parking is free, self-parking, and there seems to be ample of it..

There are the usual "near freeway" facilities nearby..
