“Loved our stay!”

We stayed at Sky-Vue with Glenn & Janice and their kids on July 4th weekend...we had a blast! Janice is an awesome cook...there was homemade ice cream & fireworks they shot off. We loved getting to chat with them plus other families that were staying at the Lodge. We would recommend Sky-Vue Lodge...very small town, relaxing environment, a sweet family...great location to spend quality family time! The views from cabin 6 are beautiful, so quite! The cabin had a kitchen area, tv, couch and a super cold a/c unit. The bedroom was spacious, king bed, decorated cute! We went to several state/national parks while in the area, an animal safari drive-thru in Gentry Ark...it was fun!...would recommend for families! We came home from the Lodge relaxed and didn't feel we were rushing and running from place to place like can happen...where you need a vacation from your vacation...awesome place! The homemade breakfast every morning was so yummy! It was a GREAT deal for our money! This is a Christian environment...no drinking allowed...which we loved about the place! It was great being around other Believers of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Room Tip: Cabin 6 has awesome views

“Comfortable and affordable”

My hubby and I stayed here last week. Cabin #4 was clean and cozy with a beautiful mountain view. The kitchenette was better than we expected with stove, mini-fridge, microwave and coffee-maker. The beds are comfortable and there's plenty of blankets and pillows. The gas fireplace adds warmth and charm. Also, there are lovely porch swings on all the decks! All in all a great place to relax. The family is friendly and cooks up a very satisfying breakfast. We'll be taking our whole family back soon.

“Comfortable Cabin with Remarkable Views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 March 2011

My husband and I arrived in Winslow just as a cold dense fog set in. We were shown to Cabin # 7, where we found a sink-down-into loveseat in front of an already burning fireplace. The cabin was furnished with a very comfortable bed, tables, reading and bedside lamps, mircro wave, fridge, and coffee pot. The views from the many windows and front porch swing were beautiful.
Breakfast was served with our hosts and their family. The meal was very hearty, featuring a delicious egg and cheese dish, fresh fruit, juice, and different kinds of bread. The home made apple butter was fantastic.
Our hosts were very knowledgable about the area's history and coming events. Both had a deep interest in art and had visited the fameous art galleries of the world. We lingered for quite a while over breakfast, enjoying conversation with them.
We are not light sleepers, so highway noises posed no problems. Light sleepers may wish to request a cabin that is not as close to the road.

Quaint and quiet atmosphere, rustic environs, comfy cabins, great hosts, savory food, and killer views .... what else can you want! Came for Thanksgiving getaway and are glad we did. Close to great hiking and crafts.

Two big thumbs up!!!

“Very misleading advertising”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2010

If the owners would spend a lot of time fixing up the dump and washing and painting the buildings they might have a nice place, but they have let it run down terribly. Looks like something you would see on might be a red neck if show. paint pealing, 1/4 inch thick dirt on all of the buildings. Dirt yards, washed out driveway. The carpet in the rooms look like 1970,s model, smells bads, spiders everywhere. TV look like a 1990 model. Nice view though!!

Clean up the place, modernize it some and do some painting and washing you might have some return visitors, not me though.
