My husband and I arrived in Winslow just as a cold dense fog set in. We were shown to Cabin # 7, where we found a sink-down-into loveseat in front of an already burning fireplace. The cabin was furnished with a very comfortable bed, tables, reading and bedside lamps, mircro wave, fridge, and coffee pot. The views from the many windows and front porch swing were beautiful.
Breakfast was served with our hosts and their family. The meal was very hearty, featuring a delicious egg and cheese dish, fresh fruit, juice, and different kinds of bread. The home made apple butter was fantastic.
Our hosts were very knowledgable about the area's history and coming events. Both had a deep interest in art and had visited the fameous art galleries of the world. We lingered for quite a while over breakfast, enjoying conversation with them.
We are not light sleepers, so highway noises posed no problems. Light sleepers may wish to request a cabin that is not as close to the road.
