The train ride from Barrancas to Los Mochis was the most beautiful part of the whole trip. Once you get past Las Furetes there is nothing exciting to see though. Our main reason to go all the way to Los Mochis was for the fishing and the airport is there for our trip home. We were met at the train station by a driver from the Plaza Inn Hotel. They checked us in and Alejandra was there to meet us with drinks. The hotel is so nice and clean and upscale. Owens restraunt in the hotel is an excellent place to eat any meal. They cooked our tuna we caught deep sea fishing. EXCELLENT. Try the shrimp...all of it !!! They also prepared our box lunch for the fishing trip. Try an in room message...they are great and fairly priced. One word of caution...the swimming pool has too much minerals in the water and turned my hair so green it was freaky !! I'm still trying to get it striped out. (funny souvenier)
We loved our whirlwind Copper Canyon trip and it was totally due to Alejandra. I wish she could plan all of our trips !!!!
