“A great find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2010

After quite a long road trip to get to Ruddyglow we were greeted by Patricia with complete warmth and friendliness. She quickly showed us round the lodge we had booked within the grounds but I am glad to say did not patronise us like we have suffered in other b&b’s, for example presumed we could work out how the shower worked. The setting is just beautiful and we were lucky with the weather so we have some lovely photos. The breakfast was great, a complete selection to choose from. I would recommend you defiantly have at least one meal in the Albannach.

We stayed just two nights but spent the rest of our holiday wishing we had stayed longer. Soon to return, this side of Christmas if we can squeeze it in.

“Top Class in every way”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2010

My wife and I went to Lochinver area to celebrate her 80th. birthday. We could not have made a better choice from the 'Visit Scotland' brochure. Our welcome was great and the weather was appalling!!. Our room (twin beds) was beautifully furnished and the beds extremely comfortable. Patricia Filmer-Sankey is a gracious hostess who showed real concern for our comfort. If you are interested in wildlife ask her about the pine martens !
Breakfast was all we could desire and we had one of the best dinners we have ever had at the Inver Lodge Hotel in Lochinver.

If you are staying in the Lochinver area, look no further than Ruddyglow.

“Our best stay in Scotland”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2010

We spent two nights at the beautiful Ruddyglow Park during what people were calling the wettest summer on record in Scotland. We received a warm welcome in a beautiful and comfortable home. Our room was great, with a fantastic view of the loch, and a grand bathtub for relaxing soaks. The living room was a cozy cozy place to hang out, with a well stocked bar. Because we were tired and a little under the weather, we spent a lot of time there and felt quite at home.

Patricia was a gracious hostess. Breakfast was cooked to order, delicious with high quality ingredients, and beautifully served. Patricia had good recommendations for eating and hiking in the surrounding area. We thoroughly enjoyed our chats with her, and also had space and privacy when we wanted it.

This is a gorgeous part of Scotland, and a fantastic place to stay. We hope to return on our next visit to the highlands.

“Amazing location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 July 2010

On arrival the owner made us very welcome and supplied us with everything we needed for a really great stay.
She couldnt do enough for us and the location next to a Scotish lock was fantastic with great walks and drives.
The food was great and she made sure you had breakfast cooked exactly how you like it.
This is one of the best places we have ever stayed, better than home from home.

“"JUST : BRILLIANT"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 June 2010

The North of Scotland area "Sutherland", are a very wonderfull but lonely place, BUT at Patricia Filmer-Sankey and her WONDERFULL Ruddyglow Park Country House, YOU won`t feel lonely. The warm and friendly atmosphere are "just brilliant" ! The area are fantastic, and so are the rooms. It`s all luxery and very tastfull. The view from Ruddyglow Park are nearly indescribably. The view over Loch Assynt and the mighty mountain Quinag are just something that has to been seen. Ruddyglow Park also have a "Lodge" (build for only two years ago), a wonderfull place, where You will have it all "for-You-self". It`s a great place to enjoy the wonderfull nature, or just relaxing. The full cooked breakfast are made by the best and finest ingredients and cooked by the wonderfull hostess Patricia. The will only be one "problem" : You will eat too much ! The helpfulness from the hostess are the great ! Have You been there once, You will return again ! It`s very big reward that Ruddyglow Park are at the MICHELIN GUIDE 2010 !
