“Room with a view!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

Although quite the drive to get there, Ruddyglow is a lovely spot to visit. We were in two rooms, both with great views, but I would recommend the Rose room. It has a spectacular view of the Loch! Patricia was friendly and extremely helpful in suggesting where to hike and eat (the pub in town is great!). Be sure to visit Highlands Pottery just outside of town, amazing stuff!

Room Tip: Rose room with bay window - glorious views!

“a lovely way to celebrate our 25th anniversary”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2011

We honey-mooned in this area 25 years ago and found this lovely spot to celebrate our anniversary. 'The Lodge' was the perfect retreat and Patricia was welcoming and thoughtful. It was very comfortable and I have to specially mention the bathroom where the shower was 'amazing' considering where the property is located! There were great touches such as the biscuits and refreshments in the room. This part of Scotland has fabulous scenery and stunning walks and the position of the property on the side of Loch Assynt is breath-taking. We were there in February which is one of the perfect times to visit, but be aware that eating out can be a small problem because the season hasn't started. There are several pubs and restaurants in Ullapool but limited venues in Lochinver. But it's our fault for getting married in February! But none of this detracted from the special time we spent at Ruddiglow because Sutherland holds such a special place in our hearts.

“Outstanding hospitality , and great views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2011

We stayed for a night .. my only tip would be to plan to stay longer. The views over Loch Assynt were just outstanding .. it is a lovely part of Scotland. Make sure you have some of the homemade Rown jelly with the venison sausages with breakfast..
Ask Patricia about some of the antiques .. there are some great family stories

Dear Iain,

Thank-you so much for your lovely review. I hope you can both come up again soon and maybe stay a little longer - can't promise there will be any Rowan jelly left - there were no berries this year which was very sad.

All the very best from everyone at Ruddyglow Park.

“It is amazing and we will definitely go back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 July 2011

What a wonderful place! Patricia, the owner, is amazing, no detail spared - everything you want for a luxurious, comfortable stay. She even offered us home made bramble whiskey with oats for breakfast. Just fantastic. Worth staying at!

Room Tip: There are only three rooms, all great, but the shed is just amazing!
