Travelled all the way up from Beauly, near Inverness for Dinner at the Albannach. Outstanding food really like the idea of not having any choice as it is a fixed menu. Shows that the Chef is confident in the quality of his food. Will definitely return and stay here next time. In a week of wonderful food this one stood out. I suspect the setting is quite something too, but having arrived and left in the dark couldn't really tell.
If the rooms are half as good as the food it will be a superb place to stay.

Where else from your arrival to departure are you so well looked after you begin to take it for granted. The rooms are all beautiful, have tried most now. Service is superb and discreet. Setting is amazing. Dinner more an experience than a meal. What a shock to get home and fine that your every need is not catered for, and nobody looks round the door to see if you want a drink or a coffee. It's the best experience ever, and the cooking is really first class. Can't wait to go back again.

We were staying in Lochinver and on recommendation went for dinner at this Michelin star restaurant. A set menu dinner, it was five courses and absolutely fabulous. Our twelve or so fellow diners were very quiet and whispering to each other which was a little off putting, prompting the question "Is this is a reastaurant or a Cathedral?" Certainly it is a Cathedral of food.
The wine list is exceptional and remarkably good value.

Our visit here made Lochinver memorable, a much enjoyed dinner. Thank you all at The Albannach. See you again for sure.
