Warm, professional care and attention to a very high standard. Don't have a large lunch before you go. Food excellent.

Beautifully sited restaurant with rooms run in the style of a relaxed country house hotel. It's a small place, so everyone gets lots of personal attention and expertise (on food and wine choice for instance) from Cherry Gunn, while her husband and top Scottish chef Gordon does all the cooking. Dinner in the baronial hall is a gourmet delight, while breakfasts are the best we've ever had. Books everywhere inside, and outside masses of small birds, and with luck red squirrels.

Fantastic Scottish gourmet food, extensive range of wine and whisky, warm hospitality from friendly owners and staff, luxurious rooms, attention to detail and a thoroughly relaxing environment.

Not the cheapest place in the world, but you get what you pay for!

We have stayed here for several years and have never been disappointed with any aspect of our visit.Cherry's welcome is always warm and Gordon's food of the finest quality with locally sourced ingredients.Gordon's signature dish "Smokie in a Pokie" is
always enjoyed and the lamb and steaks cooked just as we like them.The grouse starter
with beetroot was very tasty.
There is a lovely walk up the mountainside behind the house to be enjoyed and lots of other activities in the area to be enjoyed.
