We recently walked The St Cuthbert's Way and stayed in several B& Bs but this was the best. The accommodation was immaculate and the breakfast excellent but what made it speacial was Mike's 1st class service including washing our muddy overtrousers when we only asked him to hang them up in the garage to dry. An excellent start to our trip.

We were 3 walkers who arrived in muddy boots and rain gear. The owner took our over-trousers away and cleaned them for us and put out our boots to dry. The rooms were immaculate with everything you needed for an overnight stay, cosy, very clean and felt brand new. Lovely en-suite showers with lovely shower gels, creams, soap etc. Our host also pre-booked a table at a local restaurant where the food was fantastic. We had a totally peaceful night in very comfortable beds and in the morning, were served with the most delicious, fresh breakfast with eggs from his own chickens. It was all excellent value.

Excellent accommodation, very clean room with large en-suite – everything was just perfect, much better than I’ve experienced in larger, costlier hotels. The breakfast room is light and airy and makes for a lovely start to your day. The menu is varied, beautifully cooked and presented.
The conservatory, overlooking the immaculate garden, provides an additional place to relax and un-wind, the complimentary sherry was much appreciated. There is also a guide to local restaurants available and I can recommend the Clock Tower which is only a few minutes walk from Willow Court. Mike kindly telephoned to book this restaurant for us. Local tourist attractions are very close by too.

We often stop at Willow Court to break up our long journey from the south of England to the Highlands and back. It's the perfect place to recharge our batteries in the knowledge that we'll always get attentive service, an excellent room and a hearty breakfast. No complaints at all.
