“Cool & chic, we loved it!”

Really gorgeous hotel in lovely Garachico town. Very friendly reception when we arrived and bottle of wine delivered to our room...perfect! We were staying for 6 nights and had booked a duplex but then upgraded to the 'suite' in the Tower which was fabulous, including the private terrace and great views. We ate only 1 night at the hotel but it was very good, what we did love was drinks before dinner! the G&T's were fantastic..Overall we loved the hotel the only downside for us was we went for some winter sun but the location of Garachico, at the bottom of the mountain meant we saw more clouds than sun and it was a little cool. But that can't be helped and we couldn't fault the hotel for style & service.

“Luxury”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2011

This hotel is every bit as good as it looks on its website – luxury without pretentions (inevitably at a price). We tried to think how our room could be improved and all we could come up with was a waste paper bin in the main room as well as in the bathroom – which says a lot about what was right!

Hotel guests (only) are offered a set dinner (but you must order before 7pm). If you fancy what is on offer then it is well worth a try. We had dinner here twice (in four days) and they are the best two meals we had on Tenerife.

As an aside, for a lunch snack try the café on the hill just outside the village to the west. The range of food offered is limited but good (especially the fish) and a nice view.

“wonderful place to relax”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2011

the hotel is stylish with lots of classic designer chairs in every room. staff was very friendly and most helpful really taking their time to advise you where to go and dont just send you to the touristic places. we got an instant upgrade on arrival but all the douplex options are great. they have free dvd rental just in case you have a rainy day like we did. room service is good and drinks very reasonalbly priced. beer 1.70 euros from the mini bar.

the north part of the island is the best place to go if you want to avoid the tourism and want to see the real island.
the small family run restaurant just across the road (la tasquita) has great quality food and menu changes every day which the best things the chef got from the market that day and they have a great inexpensive house wine from teneriffe thats worth trying.
do thr trip to la masca even if you dont want to treck down 3hours to the black beach. the views from the highest point are amazing.

“Lovely,absolutely lovely................”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2010

Very good all round hotel, offrered an imediate upgrade on arrival.Friendly staff, the room was a bit of a surprise a little on the dark side and with limited windows.the room being arranged on two floors with only roof window, cool though and arranged around a central courtyard.Quirky boutique style which works really well.
Food in the restaurant limited but faultless, and a delightful surprise.
Definitely a go again....

“Refreshingly different hotel in lovely unspoilt town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 March 2010

We loved this hotel and had a lovely relaxing week despite lack of sunshine in Garachico. We stayed in the tower suite which was great fun. Fantastic views in all directions from the room and the private roof terrace (though the spiral staircase would make it unsuitable for anyone with mobility problems). The main roof terrace was delightfully peaceful and you can order drinks or food to eat there. The hotel has lots of thoughtful personal touches like a very good selection of good current books in the lounge i.e not ones that were left behind by other guests. We had a DVD & CD player in our room and borrowed CD's and DVD's from the library at reception. There was a very good selection of toiletries in our room everything you could ever want. The staff were absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with a smile. The hotel is owned by a family and is very well run indeed. We ate in the restaurant twice and the food was very good. They offer just one three course menu each evening (no choice) though they were happy to cook a salad and fish for me the first evening as I don't eat meat. I could have had a vegetarian meal any evening if ordered before 6. Our only compliant was there was too much food, but I'm sure that would not be a problem for most people! The town is delightful and unspoilt by high rise development. Unfortunately the volcanic rock pools just at the end of the road were closed all week as the sea was too rough. We would definitely return.
