Good value hotel in great location overlooking Pto. Soller's beautiful horseshoe bay. Hotel is at opposite end of the 'horseshoe' to the harbour, in a generally peaceful location. Rooms at front have sea view and morning sun, rooms at rear afternoon/evening sun and are quieter. Light sleepers in front rooms may suffer 5.30 a.m. noise from beach cleaning tractor. Confirm earlier ref of damp in the 'bungalow' block at rear - ranging from smell to black mould growth and wet floor for members of our party.
Dinner was self-serve basic salad starter and dessert, and waiter served soup and main courses. No choice on soup and mains, so not for fussy eaters, but we found standard was good overall although desserts could be VERY basic (eg large bowl of very thin green yoghurt). Waiter-served courses delivered briskly - not much chance to linger over dinner.
Small pool and quiet sun terrace accessed from 3rd floor at rear of hotel. Bar terrace at front a lovely spot to take your time over a leisurely drink and enjoy the wonderful view. Didn't seem to be any facilities for children, although may not matter as beach is just a few yards away. Other guests when we stayed were mainly middle aged to older couples or groups. Good base for walking on coast, or inland from Soller. Nearby stretches of GR221 long distance walking route and other local routes seemed well signposted.
