“A tranquil oasis of rustic Spanish charm...”

We stayed here for 7 wonderful nights in the duplex room overlooking the gardens. Ca'n Roses, we quickly discovered, is perfect for that idyllic, peaceful getaway. Well-situated just a short 2-3 minute walk away from the main plaza and restaurants in Soller, Ca'n Roses welcomes you with its atrium courtyard - a secret garden behind the wooden front door! - two lazy dogs sunbathing under the lime trees and the friendly faces of Anna and her staff who were always helpful. The vibe of this boutique hotel is one of laid back calm: warm garden aromas of lavender and jasmine greet you every morning as you rise for breakfast and the nights are dreamy as chill-out music gently lilts from the self-help bar in the courtyard. This boho feel is enhanced by the soft furnishings, stone Buddhas, art prints and photography books that decorate every corner of this delightful hideaway. The rooms are clean and charming - and keep an eye out for Lucky the in-house cat who may pay a midnight visit to your balcony! So turn off your phone and put away your watch - you won't need them! Time stand still in this tranquil oasis of rustic Spanish charm.

“Stunning hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2011

Stayed for 10 blissful nights in Ca'n Roses. We were in the Terrace Room, which was beautiful - very spacious and tastefully decorated. The only gripe we had about the room was that the bed was a bit too hard and could be quite noisy when you moved however it was a beautiful 4 poster bed, which helped to compensate for this! The terrace itself was massive with 2 sun loungers, comfy chairs and a table, which was lovely and romantic to sit out on with a bottle of wine after dinner.
The whole hotel has been designed so tastefully and although I can appreciate it is slightly bohemian and quirky for some tastes, it is a million times nicer than a large, generic hotel with no redeeming characteristics (in our opinion). The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, Marie in particular was great with restaurant recommendations and making reservations for us.
I guess for holidaymakers who like lots of facilities at a hotel Ca'n Roses may not be for you - there is no spa or bar service and limited lunch/snacks etc however we were more than happy helping ourselves to the honesty bars, which were amply stocked. There is also a lunch menu available that you can order from before 11am, we had lunch one day which was nice however a cover charge of 5 euros per person is added which seemed a bit unreasonable..
The pool area was excellent and well maintained. Always able to get a sun lounger and they were extremely comfortable. The pool was surrounded by beautiful gardens with views of the mountains. There were times when children were out playing at a school nearby but this was only for limited times throughout the day and was nothing an i-pod can't drown out!
All in all we had an amazing holiday and would definitely return to Ca'n Roses.

“Beautiful boutique hotel with hidden treasures”

Stayed here for 2 nights in the honeymoon suite in mid June. Such a lovely hotel, would definately stay here again! Beautiful courtyard behind the large front door, walking through to gardens and paths which are beautifully tended but also have a wild/rustic feel. Lots of lovely smells of lavender and various other aromas from the wide range of trees and blooms. Pieces of art everywhere, along with photographs which we felt were very tasteful and added to the mix of rustic and contemporary. Good sized pool with sufficient sunloungers but also there were plenty of areas where shade could be found ie; cabanas, a large lounging bed and another area with sofas, games and a fridge with beers and soft drinks. There is also an honesty bar in one of the rooms off the courtyard. Again plenty of places to sit and relax. Two lovely friendly dogs and a cat. Breakfast was nice and sufficient and taken on the long table outside along with the other guests. All staff pleasant and helpful. Only a very short walk into the town itself and the Port is a tram ride away and costs 4 euros. Well worth a visit and the ride was fun also. Some lovely restaurants in the Port, nice beach etc. We had an amazing view of the mountains from our suite and we also had a roof terrace area which had a bed on it in case we wanted to sleep outdoors. It is a shaded area. Suite was beautifully decorated/furnished...very large bathroom, very comfy bed...gorgeous suite which also had a mini fridge. It really is difficult to describe C'an Roses, as there is so much to say...you really do have to see it. We will definately return to the hotel if we stay in or around Soller again.

Room Tip: I would imagine all the rooms are of a similar standard, but Anna is very helpful and had no problem...

“Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2010

We can really and truly recommend Ca´n Roses. Everything is possible here !
It´s charming and beautiful little hotel ,only 2 minutes from the central square of Soller.

Behind the big wooden door you will find yourself in a charming atrium garden surrounded by individally designed rooms in varying sizes. There is also a magnificent breakfast room with plenty of spaces. Be sure to see the wonderful garden arranged in such a special way, it creates lots of places to hide away. Palm trees, lemon trees and lots of other exotic plants make the pool area ideal, with relaxing charis both in the sun and in the shade.
This is the second time my husband and I visit Ca´n Roses, and I promise it won,t be the last. This time we visited with our grown up children, son i laws and grandchildren, 8 months and 2 and a half year old, in addition to having a birthday party ! We were so pleased with the great service from Brigitte and her lovely daughters.
Or, as my son i law put it "This is Paradise"

“Lovely hotel”

We stayed at Ca'n Roses in September and it didn't let us down. Lovely quirky hotel. Fantastic swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers. Run by the family, all of whom were very helpful. Just a two or three minute stroll to the centre of Soller.

We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite, because we wanted twin beds and that was the only room they had left. It was great with fabulous views over the mountains.

However, nothing is perfect and we did have a couple of moans. Firstly, the airconditioning in our suite wasn't really strong enough and both rooms were pretty hot giving us not very comfortable nights..

Secondly, the hotel was quite expensive, but they charged extra for a boiled egg (or any sort of cooked egg) at breakfast. Having said that, the breakfasts were great and you didn't really need an egg as well!

We would definitely stay again!
