Firstly, some of the one way system in Soller was reversed in 2010 and at the time of our stay in November 2011 both Google maps and the Satnav in the car were showing the old system and trying to direct us the wrong way down one way streets. (If coming from Palma turn right just after the petrol station and then after about 400m take first right at roundabout . The hotel is on this road on the right just before the public car park on the left.)
As for the hotel it was well located being just five minutes walk from the town centre. Tania and Paul were exceptionally helpful and friendly. There are no lifts so if on the top floor one should note that it is quite a walk up several flights of stairs. My wife had hurt her back just before we arrived and she found it quite a struggle.
Breakfast was the usually continental array of fruit, cheeses, cereals and breads etc. Personally I would have preferred the offer of more substantial fare but that may because most of our recent visits have been to Australasia and North America.
The room was spacious with very nice views but I needed to use my computer and there was not a suitable chair in the room, in fact, it could have had a little more furniture such as somewhere for my wife to put on her makeup.
The bathroom was a disappointment. The washbasin had a slight leak and the tap was not easy to stop dripping. There was no bath and the shower was one of the straightdown variety. There was no heating in the bathroom which was another negative given the time of year we went.
Overall we are prepared to recommend this hotel and we have booked to go back in 2012.
