“Quirky, chalet style accommodation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2010

The rooms are in the form of individual chalets, each with either double or twin beds, seating, desk, and bathroom, and an outside patio area.
The chalets are set within what seems ot be an old olive grove / carob tree orchard. Although there are around fifty chalets on site, there is a good level of privacy.
The communal areas include a large dining room (breakfast is included, an evening meal is optional), a 'bier keller' styled bar, and a comfortable and airy lounge. Externally there are the gardens, a pool and sunny seating / sunbathing area. Staff are friendly and approachable.
During our stay there was an art class running - with participants and teacher from Germany / Austria. This appears to be an annual event and it was interesting to be able to view the watercolours displayed at the end of each day.
Ths Hotel lies within easy walking distance of the beach, port and local shops. The bus stop is also just a short walk away, so it is easy to get to local attractions such as pretty mountain villages now inhabited by the rich and famous by public transport. The route across the mountains to these villages is 'interesting' - but very scenic!!

“Could be great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2010

This is a budget hotel which could be great as location among the gardens is lovely & is very close to buses, port & the beach, but is really needs money spending on it to bring into the 21st century. The bed & bed linen really needs addressing.
Breakfast is included but I would forget about that, staff could be a little cheerful as people are on holiday & it is all rather down in the mouth.

“Surrounded by palm trees-peaceful-would stay longer if I could.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2010

This hotel was exactly what we thought it would be and more. We booked through alpharooms and had a glance in there website. The bungallows were very pretty, everything was surrounded with palm trees. One bedroom and one bath for us, but unfortunately they gave us two twins and the mattresses were not very good but it didn't spoil our vacation. Breakfast and dinner included in our price were very nice, tasty, everyday sth changed in the menu and clean. Internet was available with fee.

The location was generally very good. Soller garden is beautiful, beach, restaurants, internet cafe, bars. Far from Palma de Mallorca but worth the ride with the bus (tickets on board around 1.50 euro), or with the train 10 euro p.p.

I would definetely recommend this hotel to those who like to make quite vacation, far from all the noise of the centre. Be around nature and relax, tip: stroll in the port and eat nachos in a bar with beer or Sangria.

“Nice and tidy place, poor breaky and one unfriendly staff member”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 July 2010

The huts are quite basic but certainly fine. Eventhough the fan is rather noisy and doesn't seem to cool the place down at all. The hosts are German and so is 85% of the guests. The woman at reception (55+) is quite a moody fart who really makes it obvious she doesn't want to help you at all. Other staff are friendly though! The place is kept clean and nicely. Breakfast is crap though. I would still recommend this place but would advice not to go half board but eat out, which can be very cheap!

“excellent place to get stranded!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 May 2010

We were stranded here due to volacno ash for an extra 11 nights, partly due to Ryanair deciding not to fly when other airlines were!. Hotel is basic but clean and food fine. Staff were very helpful and friendly and even cooked our evening meal when we were very late returning from queueing at the airport to try and rearrange our flight. Hotel is in a great position for walking which is why we booked it - close to bus stop on roundabout and start of footpaths. We had a lovely time and really enjoyed ourselves despite the stress of wondering how and when we would get home - thank you very much!
